The Dolphins claimed Godrick (ankle) off waivers from the Chiefs on Monday.
Godrick sprained his ankle during the Chiefs' preseason opener against the Rams, but he was cleared to play in each of Kansas City's final two exhibition contests. He was waived by the Chiefs on Sunday but will now call Miami his new home, and he will provide the Dolphins with depth on the offensive line.
Godrick suffered an ankle sprain during Saturday's preseason opener versus the Rams, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Godrick was hurt in the second half and was unable to return. Coach Andy Reid said after the contest that the 25-year-old is dealing with an ankle sprain. Godrick is battling to make the 53-man roster as a depth option on the offensive line.

The Chiefs signed Godrick off their practice squad Saturday.
The 25-year-old from Nigeria will join Kansas City's active roster for the second consecutive week ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans. With Jawaan Taylor (elbow), Wanya Morris (knee), Josh Simmons (wrist) and Jaylon Moore (knee) all sidelined for the Week 16 contest, Godrick is expected to start at right tackle.

Godrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.
