    Luther was waived by the Panthers on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official website reports. Luther re-signed with the Panthers in May after the team had previously waived him earlier in the month. The wideout reeled in three receptions for 49 yards in two preseason games, and he could return to the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.
