  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Logs full practice Wednesday

St. Brown (quadricep) was a full participant in practice Wednesday. St. Brown departed this past Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers in the waning moments due to a leg contusion and cramping. Head coach Dan Campbell told Richard Silva of The Detroit News on Monday that St. Brown "will be good," and the wide receiver's activity level to begin Week 3 prep supports that notion. St. Brown thus is on track to play Sunday at Arizona.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Injury severity downplayed

Coach Dan Campbell said Monday that St. Brown (lower leg) "will be good" and has a soft-tissue injury, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports. St. Brown was forced out of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers with roughly 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and missed the Lions' final five plays, but it looks like the team expects him to be available Week 3 against the Cardinals. After a quiet Week 1, St. Brown bounced back with 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets versus Tampa Bay. More information on his status will arrive Wednesday, at the latest, when Detroit's first official injury report of the week is released.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Dealing with contusion, cramping

St. Brown exited with about 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers due to a leg contusion and cramping, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. St. Brown missed the Lions' final five plays of the contest due to a possible lower-body issue, but the wideout seems to have escaped Week 2 action without any serious harm. That said, St. Brown's status nonetheless merits monitoring ahead of this coming Sunday's game against the Cardinals. After being limited to three catches for 13 yards in the Lions' Week 1 overtime win over the Rams, Brown bounced back in Sunday's contest with 11 receptions for 119 yards on 19 targets.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Possible lower-body injury

St. Brown, who briefly left Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, appears to be dealing with a lower-body issue, Kyle Meinke of mlive.com reports. Per Meinke, St. Brown was seen limping out of the locker room after Sunday's contest, but for now the wideout's unspecified injury isn't believed to be serious. With that in mind, coach Dan Campbell said, "He's all right. I don't think it's anything long-term, so that's good news." In any case, this report makes St. Brown's status worth monitoring ahead of next weekend's game against the Cardinals.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Quiet in Week 1 win

St. Brown had three catches for 13 yards on six targets in Sunday's 26-20 overtime win over the Rams. St. Brown was surprisingly quiet in the season opener while Jameson Williams racked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown and Detroit's ground game took over late to get the team into the win column. You have to go back all the way to a four-yard performance against the Cowboys in Week 7 of 2022 to find the last time St. Brown had such few yards in a game, but it's much too early to press the panic button. The star receiver had at least 90 receiving yards in 11 of 16 regular-season appearances last year and will likely bounce back in Week 2 against the Buccaneers.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Totals 89 yards in playoff loss

St. Brown recorded seven receptions on 11 targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the 49ers. He added one rush for two yards. St. Brown unsurprisingly had a key role in the Detroit offense, compiling double-digit targets for the fourth time in his last six games. He failed to top 100 yards or reach the end zone for the first time in that span, though he still managed long receptions of 23 and 17 yards -- both of which set up scores -- to make his mark on the contest. St. Brown has improved in each of his three campaigns in the league, and he closed the 2023 regular season with 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. He'll be entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2024 and could be headed for a significant contract extension with the Lions this offseason.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Finishes regular season strong

St. Brown brought in seven of 10 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 30-20 win over the Vikings on Sunday. St. Brown found himself in the familiar position of leading the Lions across the board in receiving categories, essentially playing a normal amount of snaps in a game Detroit needed to position itself for a potential ascension to the No. 2 seed. The third-year wideout's yardage total was his second-highest tally of the season, and he heads into the postseason riding the momentum of a 119-1,515-10 line across 16 regular-season contests, including three 100-yard efforts in the last four games.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Picks apart Vikings secondary

St. Brown secured 12 of 14 targets for 106 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-24 win over the Vikings. Minnesota had no answer for St. Brown with the division title on the line. Continuing to pile on the stats after already setting career highs in receiving yards (1,175) and touchdowns (seven) last week against Denver, St. Brown had his way with a burnable Vikings secondary over the middle of the field while also finding success working the sidelines and on a screen. With few receivers leaguewide handling bigger roles on offense, St. Brown should again stay busy when Detroit travels to Dallas in Week 17.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Held to 21 yards

St. Brown recorded three receptions on nine targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Bears. St. Brown saw a fairly typical number of targets, but he posted a season-low yardage total. He got off to a fairly normal start to the game by recording all three of his receptions within Detroit's first three offensive possessions. However, he was shut out from there as the Lions' entire offense faltered in the final two quarters. St. Brown has been one of the most consistent receivers this season, but he has only 70 total receiving yards combined across the last two games.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Finds end zone on quiet afternoon

St. Brown brought in two of six targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' 33-28 win over the Saints on Sunday. The star receiver took a rare back seat to rookie Sam LaPorta on the afternoon, with the latter pacing the Lions' air attack with a career-best 9-140-1 line. St. Brown was able to salvage his otherwise quiet day with a 25-yard touchdown grab over the middle just before the midway point of the fourth quarter, but he finished with season lows in receptions, receiving yards and targets. St. Brown, who'd posted no fewer than six receptions or 77 yards in any game since Week 4 prior to Sunday, will look to bet back on track at the expense of the Bears on the road in Week 14.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Another productive outing

St. Brown caught nine of 11 targets for 95 yards during Thursday's 29-22 loss to Green Bay. Only Keenan Allen has averaged more targets per game than St. Brown has this season, and the USC product yet again took advantage of his voluminous role with a fifth eight-catch game in his past six outings. While St. Brown admittedly needed garbage time to approach the century mark in receiving yards, it can be argued that St. Brown was deprived of a number of other opportunities to rack up stats before that point thanks to Detroit's five failed fourth-down conversion attempts and three drive-killing fumbles. Look for St. Brown to stay busy when the Detroit offense looks to get back on track in a Week 13 road trip to New Orleans.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Eclipses century mark in win

St. Brown (illness) secured six of nine targets for 108 yards in the Lions' 26-14 win over the Raiders on Monday night. St. Brown took a questionable designation into Monday after coming down with an illness Sunday, but he suited up and looked no worse for wear. The gifted wideout led the Lions in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets, generating his third straight 100-yard effort in the process. While his catch and target totals were actually well behind the massive tallies of the last pair contests -- a stretch during which he generated 25 grabs on 34 targets -- St. Brown's fantasy night was still clearly a success. The third-year star will tangle with another AFC West opponent in the Chargers in Week 10 following a Week 9 bye.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Suiting up Monday

St. Brown (illness) is active for Monday's game versus the Raiders. St. Brown came down with an illness Sunday that forced the Lions to add him to their Week 8 injury report as questionable to play Monday, but it won't impact his availability after all. He'll thus take on his usual high-volume role in Detroit's passing attack against a Las Vegas defense that has conceded the ninth-highest catch rate (69 percent) to opposing wide receivers this season.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Comes down with illness

The Lions added St. Brown to their Week 8 injury report Sunday due to an illness and are listing him as questionable for Monday's contest versus the Raiders. Since missing Week 5 against the Panthers due to an abdominal injury, St. Brown has been heavily utilized in the passing game, as he's gathered in 25 of 34 targets for 226 yards and one touchdown over the last two games. With an illness now in tow, the status of Detroit's top wide receiver for Week 8 won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. If St. Brown ultimately sits out, fellow WRs Josh Reynolds, Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond figure to handle bigger workloads.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Targeted 19 times

St. Brown recorded 13 receptions on 19 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Ravens. The Lions offense was stalled for the entire game except for one late possession in garbage time, but that didn't stop St. Brown from recording his fourth 100-yard performance of the season. He did so almost entirely based on volume, as he averaged only 5.4 yards per target with his longest gain of the day going for 15 yards. While the performance wasn't one of his best, it does illustrate the safety of his weekly stat lines thanks to his integral role in the Detroit offense.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Returns with 124 yards

St. Brown recorded 12 receptions on 15 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-6 win over the Buccaneers. St. Brown returned from a one-game absence caused by an abdominal injury, though he showed no signs of the issue. He tallied season-high marks in targets, receptions and yards, and his performance was highlighted by lengthy receptions of 27 and 23 yards -- the former of which went for a touchdown. While St. Brown has been limited to either seven or eight targets in three of his five games this season, he's still managed to top 100 receiving yards on three occasions.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Logs full practice Thursday

St. Brown (abdomen) practiced in full Thursday. After giving St. Brown a week off, including the Lions' Week 5 win against the Panthers, to tend to an abdominal injury, St. Brown followed up Wednesday's capped session with all activity one day later. He even told Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com on Thursday, "I feel good. I feel ready, so we'll see," regarding his availability for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. The Lions still may list St. Brown with a designation for Week 6 action upon the release of Friday's practice report, but all signs seem to point toward the wide receiver returning to action this weekend.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Officially limited Wednesday

St. Brown (abdomen) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday. St. Brown didn't log any on-field work during Week 5 prep before the Lions deemed him inactive ahead of this past Sunday's win over the Panthers. Head coach Dan Campbell expressed optimism about St. Brown's chances of playing Week 6 against the Buccaneers when speaking to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News and Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site earlier this week, and the receiver's return to practice seemingly backs up Campbell's hopefulness. Ultimately, St. Brown likely will need to get through the Lions' next two practices unscathed before the Lions provide some clarity on his status heading into Sunday.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Still aiming to play Week 5

St. Brown (abdomen) said Thursday that his goal remains to play this Sunday against the Panthers, despite having sat out the Lions' first two Week 5 practices, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports. Though he's gone down as a non-participant on both of the Lions' two practice reports for Week 5, St. Brown hasn't been completely inactive during those sessions. As Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com notes, St. Brown was spotted working with trainers off to the side Thursday, just as the receiver was able to do Wednesday. Even so, the Lions will still presumably want to see St. Brown log at least some reps with the team before clearing him to play, so his activity (or lack thereof) at Friday's session will be more telling with regards to his chances of suiting up Sunday. If St. Brown ends up sitting out this weekend, quarterback Jared Goff could become more reliant on tight end Sam LaPorta, running back Jahmyr Gibbs and receivers Josh Reynolds (groin) and Jameson Williams, the last of whom is set to make his 2023 debut Sunday after completing a four-game suspension to begin the season.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Idle for another practice

St. Brown (abdomen) will be a non-participant in Thursday's practice, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports. Per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com, St. Brown will be working out and running off to the side under the supervision of trainers, just as he did for the Lions' first official Week 5 practice session Wednesday as well as an unofficial session Tuesday. With no involvement in team reps thus far in Week 5, St. Brown may need to take part in drills in some capacity Friday to have a realistic shot at playing Sunday versus the Panthers. If St. Brown is sidelined this weekend, his absence would be cushioned to some extent by the return of 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams, who is eligible to make his season debut after serving a four-game suspension to begin the campaign.
