  • Wes Martin: Works out for Miami

    Martin worked out for the Dolphins on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The veteran offensive lineman was sidelined for the end of training camp and preseason in Cleveland with a concussion. He was eventually cut by the Browns but now appears healthy and ready to contribute once he finds an opportunity.

    Martin (concussion) was released by the Browns on Monday. Martin was working to earn a reserve role on Cleveland's offensive line, but the Indiana product will come up short on the effort for now. Once healthy, he'll work to pursue opportunities with another franchise.

    Martin will not practice Sunday due to being the in the league's concussion protocols, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Martin is working to earn a reserve role on Cleveland's offensive line; however, he'll need to pass through the league's protocols before he can return to the field. The 27-year-old signed with the Browns in March after spending last season with Washington.

    The Browns are expected to sign Martin later this week, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Martin was drafted by the Commanders in the fourth round of the 2019 Draft but has struggled to crave out an NFL role since. He returned to Washington in 2022 and served as a depth option at both guard spots after spending time with the Giants in 2021.
