  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Third straight game with TD

Johnston caught two of his eight targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the 34-27 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Johnston's eight targets were a season high, but the dismal completion rate mars the stat somewhat. The second-year wide tallied a touchdown in his third straight game in what amounted to yet another relatively easy pitch-and-catch touchdown, a theme of Johnston's scores for most of the season. It's possible the streak will continue against another soft defense against the pass in the Ravens come Week 12.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Yet another touchdown in win

Johnston caught both of his two targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 27-17 win over the Titans on Sunday. That's now five touchdowns in seven games for the second-year wide receiver after he struggled to the tune of just two touchdowns over 17 games in his rookie season. Once again Johnston was effectively left wide open on his score, but at some point flukiness can be credited more towards an offensive scheme that has allowed Johnston to be a successful depth piece for a receiving corps desperate for a big-play threat. Johnston could be poised for a bit more volume when the Chargers take on the hapless Cincinnati defense next week.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Sleeper WRs

Johnston and Ladd McConkey are both worth using as high-end No. 3 Fantasy receivers against the Titans, who are dealing with injuries in their secondary to L'Jarius Sneed (quad) and Quandre Diggs (foot). Johnston returned from a two-game absence with an ankle injury in Week 9 at Cleveland with four catches for 118 yards and a touchdown on five targets for 22 PPR points, and he's capable of big performances now that Justin Herbert and the Chargers have opened up the offense. And McConkey has combined for 40.5 PPR points in his past two games.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

Johnston returned from a two-game absence with an ankle injury in Week 9 at Cleveland with a bang. He had four catches for 118 yards and a touchdown on five targets for 22 PPR points, and hopefully, he's ready for a strong finish to the season. This is the second time Johnston has scored at least 22 PPR points, and it helps that Justin Herbert has been throwing the ball more over the past month. I like Johnston as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues for the rest of the year, and he's worth adding for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Stellar showing in return

Johnston secured four of five targets for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 27-10 win over the Browns on Sunday. He also rushed once for two yards. Johnston comfortably led the Chargers in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets to Ladd McConkey. The highlight of the speedy second-year wideout's return from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury was a 66-yard touchdown grab on busted coverage by the Browns in the second quarter, Johnston's fourth score of the season. Johnston's receiving yards were also a season high, affording plenty of momentum heading into a Week 10 home matchup against the Titans.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Full practice Thursday

Johnston (ankle) practiced fully Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports. After missing two straight contests, Johnston is poised to return to action Sunday against the Browns. In the process, he'll bolster a Chargers wideout corps that also features Ladd McConkey, Joshua Palmer, and possibly DJ Chark (groin). Through five games thus far, Johnston has caught 14 of his 22 targets for 164 yards and three touchdowns, a pace that puts the 2023 first-rounder on the fantasy radar in deeper formats.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Logs limited practice

Johnston (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports. Johnston has missed two straight contests, but his ability to continue practicing in a limited fashion offers hope that he could return to action Sunday against the Browns. Once he's cleared to play again, Johnston will bolster a Chargers wideout corps that also features Ladd McConkey (hip) and Joshua Palmer. In the five games he's played this season, Johnston has hauled in 14 of his 22 targets for 164 yards and three touchdowns.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Johnston has missed the past two games with an ankle injury, but I hope he's ready to return in Week 9 at Cleveland. The Chargers are now throwing the ball more since Justin Herbert has attempted 35 passes per game on average in the past three outings. Johnston scored at least 12.4 PPR points in two of his first three games, and hopefully, he can help Fantasy managers close the season. Johnston is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Doubtful for Week 8

Johnston (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Saints. Johnston injured his ankle Week 6 in Denver but was able to play through it. Having said that, he hasn't practiced in the meantime and now is in danger of missing a second contest in a row. Johnston's status thus will be confirmed about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. As for the rest of Chargers' receiving corps, Ladd McConkey (hip) and DJ Chark (IR, groin) are listed as questionable and Derius Davis (hamstring) is listed as doubtful, so Joshua Palmer, Simi Fehoko and Brenden Rice as the healthy options on the active roster, while Jalen Reagor, Dez Fitzpatrick and Jaylen Johnson are candidates to be elevated from the practice squad.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Still not practicing

Johnston (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Thursday. Johnston, who missed this past Monday's 17-15 loss to the Cardinals, now has one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints, but at this stage his status for the contest looks cloudy. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Johnston has any chance to return to action this weekend. Meanwhile, fellow WRs Ladd McConkey (hip) and Derius Davis (hamstring) have also missed back-to-back practices.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Another missed practice

Johnston (ankle) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Johnston, who was inactive for Monday's 17-15 loss to the Cardinals, has now missed four straight practices, which clouds his status for Sunday's game against the Saints. If he's unable to suit up this weekend, Joshua Palmer, Ladd McConkey and Simi Fehoko would once again be in line to lead the Chargers' wideout corps.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Doubtful for Monday

Johnston (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Monday's contest against the Cardinals. It appears as if the second-year wideout is trending toward not playing Monday after failing to practice all week. The Chargers are dealing with an absurd number of injuries to their receiving corps with Ladd McConkey (hip, questionable), Simi Fehoko (shoulder/groin) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin, doubtful) all listed on the injury report. DJ Chark (groin) could make his season debut, but the beleaguered wideout room could mean limited passing production for quarterback Justin Herbert.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Doesn't practice Friday

Johnston (ankle) didn't practice Friday. After being listed as a non-participant on Thursday's practice estimate, Johnston didn't work in Friday's session, which sets the stage for what, if anything, he does Saturday to be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Monday night against the Cardinals. In five games to date, Johnston has caught 14 of his 22 targets for 164 yards, though the wideout has helped the fantasy prospects of those who roster him by catching three TDs in that span.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Listed as non-participant Thursday

Johnston (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's practice estimate. Johnston exited this past weekend's win over the Broncos after suffering an ankle injury, and though he was able to return to the contest, the wideout's listed absence from Thursday's practice makes his status worth monitoring ahead of Monday night's game against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, fellow WRs Ladd McConkey (hip) and Simi Fehoko (shoulder/groin) also are on the Chargers' Week 7 injury report after logging limited listings Thursday.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Not practicing

Johnston (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Johnston returned to Sunday's 23-16 win over the Broncos after exiting earlier in the contest with the ankle injury, playing 27 percent of snaps in the first half and 63 percent in the second half. He'll now have an extra day to prepare for the next game with the Chargers heading to Arizona for a Monday night game. The Chargers' first official Week 7 practice report will be released Thursday.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Muted performance in win

Johnston caught three of his four targets for 22 yards in the 23-16 win over the Broncos on Sunday. Johnston's longest reception was only eight yards, underscoring what was the 23-year-old's second consecutive disappointing fantasy performance, though he did suffer an ankle injury in the game and missed some action. This was the fourth game in which the Chargers attempted more runs than passes; even though Johnston is one of the team's top passing options, the offense's sheer disinterest in passing the ball will make the 2023 first-round pick an unreliable option most weeks. If there's one glimmer of hope, quarterback Justin Herbert did fling it 34 times Sunday, though the Chargers ultimately took the foot off the pedal while protecting a big lead.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Hurts ankle Sunday

Johnston exited Sunday's game against the Broncos after suffering an ankle injury. Prior to hurting his ankle, Johnston caught both of his targets for 14 yards. In his absence, Joshua Palmer, Ladd McConkey, Simi Fehoko and Derius Davis are the Chargers' available options at the wide receiver position.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: WRs to Sit

We don't know if Justin Herbert (ankle) will play in Week 4 against the Chiefs, but even if he does he won't be at 100 percent. And the Chargers will be without both offensive tackles as Rashawn Slater (pectoral) and Joe Alt (knee) are expected to miss this game. Johnston has done well the past two games with at least 12.4 PPR points in each outing, but you can't trust him yet against the Chiefs with Herbert hurt. Johnston should only be considered a desperation play in most leagues in Week 4.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Scores another TD

Johnston caught both of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Steelers. Justin Herbert hit Johnston wide open on the left sideline for an easy walk-in touchdown, his third of the season, on a well-schemed play. The lack of pass attempts will limit Johnston's upside on a week-to-week basis, but it's been encouraging to see Herbert trust the second-year wideout repeatedly after Johnston's much-maligned rookie campaign. However, it is worth noting that the Pro Bowl quarterback entered the game with a reported high-ankle sprain and then left in the second half after getting it banged up on a sack. It remains to be seen if he'll miss any time, but an already run-oriented offense could become even more so if backup Taylor Heinicke is forced to see extended playing time.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: WRs to Sit

Johnston is worth adding in the majority of leagues after his performance in Week 2 at Carolina with five catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns on six targets, but you don't have to start him in Week 3 at Pittsburgh. The Steelers have yet to allow a receiver to score a touchdown this season and have held Drake London and Courtland Sutton to a combined three catches for 41 yards on seven targets. Stash Johnston on your bench, and hopefully he'll continue to remain a go-to target for Justin Herbert so you can use Johnston as a reliable Fantasy option later in the year.
