  • Ravens' T.J. Tampa: Moved to IR

The Ravens placed Tampa (knee) on injured reserve Saturday. Tampa was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints due to his knee issue. The cornerback is the primary depth option for the Ravens' defense, meaning Chidobe Awuzie is now the primary backup if Marlon Humphrey or Nate Wiggins goes down with an injury. Tampa will now need to miss four games on IR before he is eligible to return to the active roster.

Tampa (hernia) was removed from the Ravens' active/PUP list Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Ravens head coach Jim Harbaugh said Sunday that he didn't expect Tampa to practice this week, but the rookie corner was able to exceed that expectation and participated in individual drills Monday, per Ryan Mink of the team's official site.
