    The Browns placed Royer (personal) on the reserve/non-football illness list Sunday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Royer has been designated to return to the team but will be required to miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season. The rookie fifth-rounder missed the entirety of the preseason due to a personal issue. It remains unclear when the tight end will be ready to return to football.

There are no updates on the fifth-round rookie's issue and it is unclear when he might return to the team. Royer was set to be the No. 2 tight end behind Harold Fannin.
