Pro Comparison: Nick Harris
Summary
Connor Lew is a three-year starter with more than 1,600 career snaps who started seven games this season before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Missouri. He’s a savvy, gritty player who controls the calls up front and sets the tone. Lew is a sound technician who plays with strong leverage and quickness in the run game and best fits a zone-based offense. Still just 20 years old, Lew turns 21 in August and is expected to be full-go by training camp.
About
- 2025: Top C prospect prior to torn ACL (October)
- 2023: Freshman All-ACC
Strengths
- Strong awareness, recognition and intelligence against games and stunts in pass protection.
- Good athleticism in the run game, consistently reaching the second level and taking proper angles.
- Solid anchor with good core strength and a strong grip to sit down versus power rushes.
Weaknesses
- Average size and mass limit his ability to move defenders head up in the run game.
- Can struggle in protection against twitchy linebackers rushing through his A-gaps.
- Has difficulty sustaining blocks at the point of attack, though his grip strength suggests it’s correctable with improved technique and consistency.
Combine Data
- Bench press: 31 reps
