Glasnow (back) threw a bullpen session this past weekend, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Glasnow's recovery from lower-back spasms has dragged on much more than anticipated, but a return to throwing off the bump is a big step. He has not pitched in a game since early May, so Glasnow will require multiple rehab starts whenever he is cleared for a rehab assignment. The Dodgers' primary objective is to have Glasnow healthy for the postseason, so expect them to continue slow-playing the right-hander.

Manager Dave Roberts stated Monday that the club is approaching Glasnow's rehab with caution, so it's not clear at this time when he could resume throwing off a mound. The right-hander has been on the injured list since early May after experiencing lower-back spasms and remains without a clear timetable for a return.

He's been on the injured list since suffering a back injury May 6 in his start against the Astros, and until he can gain clearance to resume throwing, a return date will be difficult to estimate.

Glasnow (back) is "beginning to feel better," and he may be able to resume playing catch soon, per MLB.com. Glasnow last pitched May 6, when he exited a start against Houston after one inning due to lower-back pain. Though he initially deemed the injury minor, the veteran hurler was ultimately placed on the injured list. Glasnow has tried to ramp up his throwing since then, but a slow recovery has resulted in him being shut down on multiple occasions, and he was placed on the 60-day IL on June 6. Though it sounds like Glasnow is beginning to improve, he's not expected to return to the Dodgers' rotation until sometime after the All-Star break.

The Dodgers transferred Glasnow (back) to the 60-day injured list Saturday. Glasnow has yet to make strong enough strides to return to a big-league mound, thus resulting in a 60-day IL stint. The 32-year-old resumed throwing May 25, but he was unable to get over the hump to advance his pitching progression beyond playing catch. The Dodgers will call up Nick Frasso to take Glasnow's spot on the 40-man roster and add another pitcher to the depleted Dodgers pitching staff.
