Vaughn has had a forgettable start to the 2024 season, but he's picked up his performance of late. After Saturday's showing, he's now gone yard in three straight starts and also has at least one hit in eight straight games. In that span, he's gone 11-for-31 with six runs scored and four RBI.

Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, the 28-year-old took Nick Nastrini deep in the fifth inning for Boston's only offense, and Dalbec's first long ball in the majors this season. He's flashed plenty of power in the minors -- in his last 140 games for Triple-A Worcester, he's slugged 41 homers -- but that hasn't yet translated to the game's highest level with any consistency. He'll lose playing time, and likely his spot on the 26-man roster, when players like Tyler O'Neill (knee), Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) are back in action, as Dalbec's .159/.243/.238 slash line in 28 games for the Red Sox makes a poor case to keep him around.

Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in the Royals' 8-4 win over the Mariners on Saturday.

Pasquantino broke a 3-3 tie with a two-out double in the bottom of the fifth that brought home two. It was the 26-year-old's ninth multi-RBI effort of the season and his third over his last eight games. He now has 43 RBI this season, which is second on the Royals behind Bobby Witt. Pasquantino's been a steady producer in the middle of the Royals' lineup all season and will carry a .244/.317/.433 line into Sunday's game.

Manager Scott Servais said postgame that he was "concerned" about the heel injury that held France out of Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Royals, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

France was scratched from Saturday's lineup with what was initially deemed a foot injury. However, Servais shared that France is actually dealing with a heel injury that stems from the first baseman being hit by a pitch Friday. France will continue to be evaluated and a status update is expected to be delivered sometime Sunday.

France was scratched from the Mariners' lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus Kansas City due to an apparent foot injury, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

The Mariners haven't offered any information regarding how serious France's injury is, but the team should offer an update once it takes a closer look at him. Luke Raley will move to first base to replace France, shifting Dylan Moore to left field while Ryan Bliss covers second base.

Davis is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Saturday marks Davis' third consecutive absence. The lefty-hitting Tyler Soderstrom will once again start at first base Saturday while batting seventh against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman.

Horwitz is starting at second base and batting second for Saturday's game against Oakland.

Horwitz was recalled by Toronto on Friday and is now set to make his first big-league appearance of 2024. He was slashing .335/.456/514 with four home runs, 38 RBI and 44 walks over 259 plate appearances in Triple-A before his promotion. Horwitz appeared in 15 games for the big club in 2023, slashing .256/.341/.385 with one home run and seven RBI over 44 plate appearances. The 26-year-old will face off against Athletics right-hander Luis Medina on Saturday.

Mountcastle went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a hit-by-pitch in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Mountcastle has homered three times over four games versus the Rays this season. The first baseman is batting .349 (22-for-63) with five long balls and 13 RBI over his last 16 contests. For the season, Mountcastle has a strong .281/.321/.509 slash line with 11 homers, 31 RBI, 34 runs scored, two stolen bases and 16 doubles over 57 games. He's shown modest growth from last year's .270/.328/.452 slash line, and he's also cut his strikeouts down from 22.8 percent to 21.2 percent year-over-year.

France went 2-for-3 with an RBI ground-rule double, another two-bagger, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and a run in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

France made up for missing out on the Mariners' first-inning fun by lacing a ground-rule double in the fourth to plate J.P. Crawford and extend Seattle's lead to 8-0 at the time. The 29-year-old has dialed in his stroke since the latter part of May and is swinging with more authority, generating a .304 average and .950 OPS over the last 14 contests with six extra-base hits (four doubles, two home runs) and 10 RBI during that span.

Abreu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

Abreu has gone a modest 3-for-17 over six games in June, but two of those hits have been homers. The first baseman has made limited progress at the plate since he was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land, but he's seeing steady playing time anyway. He's slashing .122/.171/.194 with two homers, six RBI and eight runs scored over 105 plate appearances in 2024.
