Luke Raley RF | SEA
Rays' Luke Raley: Crushes homer, scores twice
Raley went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Athletics.
Raley got the offense going for the Rays on Thursday, beginning with a single to right in the top of the second to advance Harold Ramirez to third. Both would then come around to score to put the Rays up 2-0 early. The right fielder went on to crush a solo homer off Austin Pruitt in the eighth to help Tampa Bay jump back in front 3-2. With the two-hit performance, Raley is now batting .343 in June with two homers, six RBI and nine runs scored.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Sitting out Thursday
Diaz is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Oakland.
Diaz appears to be receiving a routine maintenance day in the series finale after he reached base four times in Wednesday's win. Luke Raley will play first base in place of Diaz.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Launches two homers
Dalbec went 4-for-6 with a triple, two home runs, four RBI and two additional runs scored for Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday.
Dalbec broke out of a mini slump -- 3-for-21 over the previous six games -- in a big way Wednesday. He continues to rake at Triple-A with 16 home runs and 40 RBI over 47 games for the WooSox. It seems like there would be a home for his bat in Boston, but the team remains committed to fixing Triston Casas at first base and won't have Dalbec at third base ahead of Rafael Devers. It appears the organization is content having him light up the minors and improve his trade value.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Working to improve in field
Casas started at first base and went 1-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Rockies.
Casas was back on the field after serving as the designated hitter Tuesday, when manager Alex Cora told Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com that Casas will play fewer games at first base for the immediate future amid fielding woes. The manager discussed adding "a series of drills" to make Casas a quicker and better infielder, per Christopher Smith of MassLive.com. Most notably, Casas' pre-pitch movements need adjustments. "He was stepping back instead of going forward. We've been noticing this," Cora said. The Red Sox are also working on his pre-game preparation, according to Chad Jennings of The Athletic.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Homer, three RBI in win
Abreu went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, two additional RBI and an additional run in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Nationals.
Abreu got the scoring started with a two-run double in the first inning before belting a homer off Josiah Gray in the fourth. The veteran first baseman now has four homers on the season, including three in his last five games. He's gone 11-for-27 (.407) with five multi-hit efforts in his last six contests. After a very slow start in Houston, Abreu is now slashing .233/.289/.320 with 20 runs scored and 33 RBI through 277 plate appearances on the campaign.

Spencer Torkelson 1B | DET
Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Goes deep in doubleheader
Torkelson went 2-for-6 with three walks, a solo home run and two runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against Atlanta.
Torkelson, who is now working on a four-game hit streak, did most of his damage during the first game of the day, reaching base three times and hitting his seventh home run of the season. The 23-year-old has yet to really take off with a .235 batting average and .706 OPS, but the rebuilding Tigers should continue to give him ample playing time.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Needs surgery, done for season
The Royals announced Wednesday that Pasquantino (shoulder) will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2023 season.
The 25-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list last weekend with right shoulder discomfort before follow-up tests revealed a more serious injury. Pasquantino will inevitably be moved to 60-day IL in the near future, which will open a spot on the 40-man roster. He finishes his 2023 season having produced a .247 batting average with nine home runs, 26 RBI and 24 runs scored over 259 plate appearances in 61 games.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Gets rare day off
Lowe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
Lowe will get a day off for the first time all season, after having started at first base in each of Texas' first 66 games. Ezequiel Duran will fill for Lowe and bat third Wednesday.
-
Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Twins' Donovan Solano: Still seeing steady playing time
Solano will start at third base and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
Solano will pick up his 10th start in 11 games Wednesday while he continues to wield a hot bat in June. Through his first 11 games of the month, Solano is slashing .324/.419/.514 with a home run, four doubles, six runs and five RBI. The recent return of Joey Gallo from the injured list has made the Minnesota lineup slightly more crowded, but Solano's ability to handle three infield spots as well as designated hitter will continue to give him multiple pathways to playing time. Expect manager Rocco Baldelli to find a way to get Solano's bat in the lineup until the veteran starts to cool down.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Homers again
O'Hearn went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
O'Hearn, batting cleanup and playing first base with Ryan Mountcastle (illness) unavailable, extended Baltimore's lead to 4-1 with a two-run shot off Chris Bassitt in the third inning. The 29-year-old O'Hearn has homered in back-to-back games while going 6-for-10 in his last three contests. He's now slashing an impressive .319/.368/.623 with five homers, 11 runs scored and 19 RBI through his first 76 plate appearances with the Orioles.
