Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Slugs three extra-base hits
Walker went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, a run and four RBI in a 7-4 victory over Colorado on Sunday.
Walker opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning, connected on a 460-foot three run home run in the third, singled in the fifth and doubled again in the ninth for his first four-hit game of the season. The outburst comes on the heels of him reaching base four times Tuesday, and the 31-year-old is 10-for-21 with three walks across his last six games. The long ball was Walker's 27th and pulls him into a tie with Anthony Rizzo for eighth most in MLB.

Michael Toglia 1B | COL
Rockies' Michael Toglia: Headed to Albuquerque
Toglia was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 10.
Toglia spent the entire season with Double-A Hartford, and he managed to maintain a .347 wOBA and 114 wRC+ across 420 plate appearances. He also struck out at a 30.2 percent clip, which will be something to monitor as he continues to progress through the upper levels of the minor leagues and into the majors. After playing exclusively at first base in 2021, Toglia has played a handful of games in right field -- a move that could accelerate his path to Colorado.

Wade went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored, a double and a walk in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Pirates.

Through nine contests in August, Wade has gone 5-for-18 (.278), though all of those hits have gone for extra bases (three homers, two doubles). The 28-year-old's batting average reached .200 for the first time since July 7 with this multi-hit effort, and he's added a .759 OPS, six long balls, 18 RBI, 13 runs scored, four doubles and a triple through 120 plate appearances this year.

Montero has been in the lineup for 10 consecutive games at a combination of first and third base as well as at designated hitter. He's hit .368 in that span with a home run, six RBI and five runs scored. Though Montero may not have a consistent defensive position, the Rockies appear to be intent on giving him regular playing time down the stretch of the season.

He's quickly closing in on another 30-homer campaign -- Goldschmidt had 28 this year, putting him a realistic position to challenge his career high of 36. He's added a .331/.414/.619 slash line, 89 RBI, 78 runs scored, five stolen bases and 31 doubles through 106 games.
