Mets' Pete Alonso: Launches homer number 15
Alonso went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 4-2 loss in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Yankees.
Alonso provided both New York runs with his fourth-inning home run off reliever Darren O'Day, recording one of just three Mets hits in the process. It was the first baseman's second homer on the day as he also went yard in Game 1. The Game 2 homer was his fourth home run in the last seven games.

Matt Beaty 1B | KC
Dodgers' Matt Beaty: Homers against Nationals
Beaty went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Nationals.
Beaty tied Sunday's game with his fourth home run of the season in the top of the fourth inning. The 28-year-old has started in just six of the last 16 games, and he hadn't homered since June 1. He's now slashing .252/.342/.382 with 28 RBI and 19 runs this year.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Big day at plate
Abreu went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to Detroit.
The first baseman got Chicago on the board with an RBI single in the third inning before scoring on a Leury Garcia sacrifice fly. In the ninth, Abreu made things interesting with a three-run homer, but that left Chicago a run short in the loss. The 34-year-old went 5-for-14 with five RBI and four runs scored in this weekend's three-game series in Detroit. He's slashing .250/.330/.447 with 14 long balls, 61 RBI, 42 runs scored and a stolen base through 327 plate appearances overall.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Productive in defeat
France went 1-for-3 with a double and a bases-loaded walk in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.
The surging France now has a five-game hitting streak that includes a pair of doubles and five RBI. The 26-year-old has actually been on a multi-week hot stretch, as he owns a .319 average and .989 OPS across the 82 plate appearances covering his last 19 games.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Giants' Donovan Solano: Tallies three hits
Solano went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 6-5 win over Arizona.
Solano knocked in Brandon Crawford to cap a four-run rally in the third inning. All three of Solano's hits Saturday were singles. He's hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 14-for-42 (.333) with a home run, two RBI and four runs scored in that span. The infielder has a .278/.332/.386 slash line through 196 plate appearances, but he lacks much in the way of counting stats with three homers, 18 RBI, 21 runs scored and a stolen base.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Not starting Sunday
Cron is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals.
Cron started the past four games and will take a seat after going 3-for-11 with a homer, a double, three RBI, two runs and three walks during that stretch. Joshua Fuentes will start at first base in the series finale.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Delivers Anderson twice
Abreu went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored two runs in Saturday's 11-5 loss to Detroit.
Abreu plated Tim Anderson twice after the White Sox's leadoff hitter doubled twice, making this his first multi-RBI effort over the previous 13 games. He's fighting out of a fallow period, having entered Saturday's contest batting .147 with two RBI over the previous 10 games. Despite the slump, Abreu remains the team's RBI leader with 57 in 76 games.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Diamondbacks' Kole Calhoun: Will test hamstring Monday
Calhoun will run the bases Monday to test his injured hamstring, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Calhoun was pulled from his rehab assignment after aggravating the injury while attempting to avoid getting hit by a pitch. An MRI on the hamstring determined no damage to his surgically repaired hamstring. "I don't see this as a huge setback, honestly," he said. "It's just being cautious and making sure that when I do get back out there, it's get back out there and play." Calhoun had been aiming for a return during this week's homestand but no longer knows what a realistic return date might be.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: On base five times in loss
Freeman went 3-for-3 with two walks and an RBI in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Marlins.
All three hits were singles, but it was still an impressive showing for the first baseman. Freeman has hit safely in six straight games and reached base safely in 11 straight, slashing .419/.500/.558 over the latter stretch with three doubles, a homer, six runs and six RBI.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Mashes seventh homer
Cooper went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 3-2 win over Atlanta.
His sixth-inning solo shot off Kyle Muller proved to be the game-winning hit. Cooper has two of his seven homers on the year in seven games since returning from a lumbar strain, a stretch during which he's gone 10-for-19 (.526) with two doubles, six walks, six runs and six RBI in addition to the long balls.
