Gurriel isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel started in each of the last four games and went 1-for-14 with two strikeouts during that time. He'll retreat to the bench Saturday as Aledmys Diaz (quadriceps) returns to action at first base.

Walker is not starting Saturday against the Astros, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Walker sits for just the fourth fime all season. Pavin Smith gets the start at first base, while Wyatt Mathisen will be the designated hitter.

Votto went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the White Sox.

The six-time All-Star hit the third of four Reds homers off opposing starter Jonathan Stiever. He now has four long balls in his last eight games, giving him 10 for the season. Votto, who has been batting third of late for Cincinnati, now has an even .800 OPS after finishing with a career-low .768 mark in 2019.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Friday's 6-0 win over the Giants.

Olson broke the game open in the third inning with his 14th home run of the season. While Olson's strikeout rate is up -- just under 30 percent -- his .191 batting average is worse than he deserves. Olson has just a .200 BABIP and Statcast gives him an xBA of .239 through 214 plate appearances.

Freeman went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, a walk and a run scored in a 15-2 win over the Mets on Friday.

It was the third time this month that Freeman has recorded three hits in a game. The highlight of his night came early on, when he roped a two-run double into right field to extend the lead to 3-0. Freeman is enjoying a spectacular September in which he is hitting .439/.537/.848 with six home runs, 27 RBI and 17 runs scored in 17 games. The four-time All-Star continues to be one of the strongest hitters in an explosive Braves lineup that's averaging over seven runs per game during the final month of the regular season.

White went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Friday's loss to the Padres.

White got the Mariners on the scoreboard with a 403-foot solo blast against Pierce Johnson in the bottom of the eighth inning. The long ball was the sixth of the year for the 24-year-old, who is batting .177/.256/.340 overall.

Calhoun went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 6-3 win over the Astros.

Calhoun tagged a fourth-inning offering from Zack Greinke over the right-field wall to give the Diamondbacks their first lead of the game with a three-run blast. In the eighth, Calhoun sent another ball to a similar area for an insurance run on a solo shot. The 32-year-old outfielder is getting great power recently, with six homers and a pair of doubles in his last eight games. He's added 14 RBI and nine runs scored in that span.

Dalbec is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Dalbec started the past four games and will receive a day off after going 2-for-15 with 10 strikeouts. Michael Chavis receives the start at first base while J.D. Martinez takes over in left field.

Alonso is not in the lineup Friday against Atlanta.

There haven't been reports that Alonso is battling an injury, so it's unusual to see him sit against lefty Max Fried, with the left-handed Dominic Smith starting ahead of him at first bench. Still, it's possible Alonso has been benched on merit, as his .755 OPS is considerably worse than Smith's 1.034 mark as well as designated hitter J.D. Davis's .802 mark.

Naylor is out of the lineup Friday against the Tigers.

Naylor has two hits in his past 18 at-bats and will take a seat for the second time in the past three games. Jordan Luplow receives the start in left field for Cleveland, batting seventh.
