Santana went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 11-2 win over the Reds.

The veteran switch hitter broke the game open when he drove a Nick Lodolo changeup over the right-center field fence in the third inning. It was Santana's eighth homer of the season, but his first off a left-handed pitcher, while the grand slam was the sixth of his career among his 332 long balls. Through 63 contests in 2025, Santana is slashing .251/.350/.388 with 34 RBI, putting him on pace to reach 80 for only the second time since 2019.

Guerrero went 2-for-5 with one RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Cardinals.

Guerrero scored in the third inning before adding an RBI single and a stolen base in the fourth. While the 26-year-old hasn't homered since May 29, he's remained productive with four multi-hit efforts, five RBI, nine runs scored and his only two steals this season in the 11 games since. On the year, he's slashing .278/.380/.421 with eight homers, 30 RBI and 41 runs scored across 297 plate appearances.

Mayo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mayo has been seeing semi-regular playing time since being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on May 31, but he's gone just 4-for-22 with one extra-base hit (a double), a stolen base and a 2:5 BB:K over a stretch of seven games. With the Orioles getting two key position players in Jordan Westburg and Cedric Mullins back from the injured list earlier this week, Mayo could end up being squeezed out of the lineup on a more frequent basis if he's unable to pick up the pace at the plate.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Freeman is in Wednesday's lineup in San Diego in spite of a quad injury suffered Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The injury likely means Freeman will be running at less than 100 percent, but "he's managing it," per Roberts. Freeman has played in every game since April 11 for the Dodgers, starting all but two contests over that span. Unless the injury gets worse, it sounds like Freeman will continue trying to play through it.

Kurtz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

The Angels are sending right-hander Kyle Hendricks to the bump for the series finale, but the left-handed-hitting Kurtz will nonetheless bow out of the lineup for the first time since returning from the injured list Monday. He made starts at designated hitter and first base in the first two contests of the series in Anaheim, going 1-for-8 with a double.

Busch is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Busch went 3-for-17 with a pair of home runs while starting in each of the Cubs' last four games, but as per usual, he'll take a seat with a lefty (Jesus Luzardo) starting for the opposition. Justin Turner will spell Busch at first base.

Encarnacion-Strand started at third base and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Cleveland.

This was the first time in five games that Encarnacion-Strand failed to reach base safely since coming off the IL; he'd gone 8-for-17 with a double, three home runs and seven RBI over the first four contests. This marked the third time in those five games that he's started at third base. Reds manager Terry Francona needs to find time for both Encarnacion-Strand and Spencer Steer, and it appears Santiago Espinal's regular run at third base has ended.

Busch went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.

Busch took Mick Abel deep to center in the fourth to push the Cubs in front 3-2. Busch now has four homers in nine games during June and has at least a hit in 11 of his last 12 games, slashing .325/.400/.725 over that span. Despite being hot at the plate, Busch has not received many plate appearances versus left-handed pitching and may find himself on the bench the next two days with the Cubs set to face Jesus Luzardo and Andrew Heaney.

Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Rockies.

Schmitt's solo homer in the top of the ninth ignited a four-run rally that propelled the Giants to a comeback win Tuesday. The infielder had struggled immensely over his previous 10 games, slashing .136/.269/.136 with no extra-base hits or RBI. On the year, Schmitt is batting .204/.295/.315 with four extra-base hits and four RBI in 62 plate appearances.

Tellez went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Tellez went back-to-back with Randy Arozarena in the sixth inning to get the Mariners on the board, but it didn't spark a larger rally. Tellez is up to 10 homers this season, but he's hit just two of them over his last 20 contests. The slugger has a .208/.253/.429 slash line with 26 RBI, 17 runs scored and four doubles over 166 plate appearances in a strong-side platoon role at first base.
