Xavier Isaac 1B | TB
Rays' Xavier Isaac: Missing in action
Isaac has not played for Double-A Montgomery since May 4 due to an undisclosed injury.
Isaac dealt with an elbow issue in spring training and spent 11 days on the injured list in early April with the injury, so this latest absence could be related. Isaac is slashing .235/.435/.559 with two home runs and one stolen base in 11 games this year. He has a 32.6 percent strikeout rate after logging a 40.6 percent strikeout rate in 31 games at Double-A to close 2024.

Ty France 1B | TOR
Twins' Ty France: Exits game with foot contusion
France was removed during the fifth inning of the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader in Baltimore with a left foot contusion, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. He went 0-for-3 at the plate prior to his departure.
France grounded out in the top of the fifth inning before being replaced on defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The Twins could have more information on France's status in between games, but France will likely sit out the second leg of the twin bill, at the very least.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Getting day off Wednesday
Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.
It's a rare day off for Goldschmidt, who had started each of the previous six contests. The Yankees are going with Ben Rice at first base and Aaron Judge at designated hitter in the series finale.

Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Minimum absence expected
Red Sox manager Alex Cora believes Gonzalez (back) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible May 18, MLB.com reports.
Gonzalez first suffered a back injury one week ago and officially landed on the IL this past weekend. It's unclear whether he will need to play any rehab games before being activated, but the infielder appears on track for activation Sunday. Once activated, Gonzalez should regain his standing as Boston's top option at first base.

Andres Chaparro 3B | WAS
Nationals' Andres Chaparro: Starting rehab assignment
Chaparro (oblique) has been sent to the rookie-level Florida Complex League Nationals to begin a rehab assignment.
Chaparro is finally ready to play in games after going down with a left oblique strain in mid-March. The 26-year-old has a chance to work his way into regular playing time with the Nationals, perhaps in the designated hitter spot where Josh Bell has struggled.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Showcases power Tuesday
Aranda went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
Aranda doubled the Rays' lead with a two-run homer in the third that traveled 433 feet to right field. He now has six RBI and two homers in his last seven games after going homerless in 11 straight games prior. Aranda has been producing elite numbers at the plate, hitting .339/.428/.568 with six homers, 20 RBI, 19 runs and a 16:31 BB:K in 138 plate appearances. Aranda also currently sits fifth in baseball with a .996 OPS.

Nick Kurtz 1B | ATH
Athletics' Nick Kurtz: Hits first big-league homer
Kurtz went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Dodgers.
Kurtz stretched the Athletics' lead to 9-1 in the eighth inning with the first homer of his big-league career. Aside from a lack of power, his bat has looked major-league ready since his April 23 call-up from Triple-A Las Vegas. Kurtz is batting .281 with a .732 OPS, six RBI, six runs scored, one double and one triple over his first 17 games in the majors while handling a starting role at first base.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Diamondbacks' Josh Naylor: Productive in Tuesday's loss
Naylor went 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Giants.
Naylor delivered a two-run single to put the Diamondbacks ahead 3-0 in the first inning. He added a two-run homer in the ninth, but Arizona didn't add to the comeback effort after that blast. The first baseman is on a six-game hitting streak, going 7-for-25 (.280) with three extra-base hits in that span. For the season, Naylor's at a .296/.367/.459 slash line with five homers, 27 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven steals and 11 doubles over 42 contests.

Nolan Schanuel 1B | LAA
Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Racks up three hits
Schanuel went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.
Schanuel has five multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, going 12-for-32 (.375) in that span, but he's been hitless in the other four games during that stretch. The first baseman has hit well enough to command a starting role in his second full major-league season. He's up to a .265 average with a .716 OPS, two home runs, 10 RBI, 19 runs scored, one stolen base, six doubles and a triple through 39 contests. His plate discipline remains sharp, but there's little power in his profile.
