The Yankees announced that Rice was removed from Sunday's game against the Orioles due to a left hand contusion. He went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run prior to his departure.

Paul Goldschmidt checked in for Rice at first base in the top of the fourth inning after Rice injured his hand while playing defense on a pickoff attempt an inning prior. X-rays on Rice's hand returned negative, but the bruise could still present enough pain to keep him from playing for a few days. The Yankees are listing Rice as day-to-day heading into Monday's series finale.

Rice was removed from Sunday's game against the Orioles due to an apparent injury, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Rice started the scoring Sunday with a first-inning solo home run and doubled and scored in the third, but he was replaced in the field for the top of the fourth frame. The 27-year-old is presumably dealing with an injury, but the Yankees have yet to provide an official announcement on his status.

Vaughn (hand) remains on track to return from the 10-day injured list Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Vaughn is nearing the finish line in his recovery from the left hand fracture that has kept him on the shelf since March 28. He's already appeared in three rehab games for Triple-A Nashville, playing a full nine innings on one occasion while going 2-for-11 with a double and a walk. Jake Bauers has been serving as the Brewers' everyday first baseman while Vaughn has been on the IL, but Milwaukee could find playing time for both by using Bauers at designated hitter or in the corner outfield once Vaughn is activated.

Diaz (side) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Diaz is sitting Sunday for a second straight contest after exiting Friday's game due to tightness in his left side. Jonathan Aranda is receiving a turn at designated hitter in Diaz's place, which opens up first base for Ryan Vilade.

Walker (head) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Walker was lifted from Saturday's 6-3 win in the ninth inning after taking a fastball to the head during his final at-bat of the day, but the veteran first baseman passed all concussion testing following the game and has been given the green light to play in the series finale. The 35-year-old has been in the midst of a heater over the past two weeks, slashing .409/.447/.750 with four home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs over his last 11 games.

Manzardo entered Saturday's game as a pinch hitter and belted a three-run home run in his lone plate appearance in a 14-6 win over the Athletics.

Manzardo finished up the game at first base after stepping in for Rhys Hoskins against right-hander Luis Morales. It was the second home run of the season and first in 17 games for Manzardo, who hasn't developed as hoped during his third season in the majors. He's serving on the strong side of a platoon at first base, but the Manzardo/Hoskins tandem is slugging a league-low .283 at the position with just two home runs and 11 RBI between them.

Harris went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Red Sox.

Harris, who joined Houston off waivers from the White Sox earlier in the year, is now 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts this season. The 26-year-old outfielder has been playing nearly every day for the Astros due to Joey Loperfido (quadriceps), Taylor Trammell (groin), Zach Dezenzo (elbow) and Jake Meyers (oblique) all being on the IL. Harris has made the most of the opportunity, going 7-for-18 (.389) with four RBI and an .868 OPS in his last five games.

Santana (thigh) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

Santana has been sidelined since April 5 due to a right adductor strain. He was struggling badly at the plate early in the season, going 2-for-24 with a double, one run scored and 2:8 BB:K across 26 plate appearances prior to the injury.

O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, three runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 17-7 win over the Reds.

The Pirates offense delivered a dominant and balanced performance that saw them hit seven extra-base hits but zero homers, while all nine members of the starting lineup recorded at least one RBI, with O'Hearn's six combined runs and RBI tying Marcell Ozuna for the team lead. O'Hearn has three multi-hit performances in the last nine games, and on the season he's slashing .316/.401/.487 with five homers, 20 runs and 24 RBI in 32 contests.

Aranda went 2-for-4 with a two-run single during the Rays' 5-1 win over the Giants on Saturday.

Aranda gave the Rays a 4-0 lead in the fifth after his single to center field brought both Chandler Simpson and Taylor Walls home. It was the seventh multi-hit game of the season for Aranda, and his 27 RBI is tied with Yordan Alvarez for most in the American League.
