Young went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-0 win over the Padres.

Young has three homers this season, and they've all come over his last six games. He also has a trio of multi-hit efforts in that span. The 30-year-old is batting .313 with a .945 OPS, six RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles and no stolen bases across 55 plate appearances. Young should continue to get steady playing time versus right-handed pitchers.

Bauers went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 9-7 extra-inning win over the Rockies.

Bauers came up clutch late, driving in a run on a single in the ninth inning before adding a two-run double in the 10th. The 30-year-old posted a .921 OPS in May, and he's opened June with three extra-base hits and six RBI through five contests. For the year, he's slashing .277/.361/.497 with 10 homers, 39 RBI, 35 runs scored and four steals across 216 plate appearances in what is shaping up to be a career year.

Burleson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and three additional runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Reds.

Burleson was a thorn in the Reds' side all game, launching a solo blast in the third inning and scoring a career-high four runs. The 27-year-old is in the midst of a modest six-game hitting streak that includes four multi-hit efforts, eight RBI and five runs scored. On the season, he's slashing .291/.356/.457 with eight long balls, 43 RBI, 30 runs scored and two steals across 261 plate appearances.

Rice went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Friday's 5-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Rice got the Yankees on the board early with a solo home run off Sonny Gray in the first inning. It was Rice's 18th homer of the season, which is tied for Byron Buxton for third-most in the American League. The Yankees will need all of Rice's power as the team navigates the absence of Aaron Judge, who was placed on the 10-day IL prior to Friday's game due to a stress fracture in his right rib that will sideline him for at least 4-for-6 weeks. Rice has done all he can at the plate, especially over his last nine games, when he has gone 16-for-36 (.444) with 11 RBI and nine extra-base hits.

Contreras went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI during the Red Sox's 5-3 win over the Yankees on Friday.

Contreras drove in his first run in the third inning on an infield single before giving the Red Sox a 5-2 lead in the fifth with a two-run home run off Ryan Weathers. Contreras has logged at least two hits in each of his last three games and has gone deep in back-to-back games, which has him at 13 home runs on the season. He has a .934 OPS across over 249 plate appearances, which is fifth-best in the American League.

Grissom was scratched from the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers with left side tightness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels are labeling Grissom as day-to-day, so although he won't be able to start Friday's contest, he doesn't seem to be dealing with anything too severe. Oswald Peraza will shift to first base while Grissom rests, opening up second base for Nick Madrigal.

Mead isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against Arizona, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Mead will get a day off Friday after going 10-for-37 (.270) with three homers, nine RBI and six runs over his last 10 games. Jorbit Vivas will pick up a start at the hot corner as a result and bat sixth.

Vientos isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Vientos will retreat to the bench for the third time in New York's last four games after posting just a .494 OPS across his last 10 contests. Jared Young will make another start at first base in Vientos' stead.

Vargas (thigh) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Vargas left Thursday's game with a thigh injury after a collision, and the D-backs will keep him out of action Friday to allow him to recover. His absence will allow LuJames Groover to make his MLB debut starting at first base and batting fifth.

The Diamondbacks optioned Fernandez to Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Fernandez's first stint in the majors resulted in a .255/.289/.352 batting line with three home runs, seven stolen bases and a 7:40 BB:K over 55 games. He's being sent out in favor of LuJames Groover.
