Freeman has four homers, eight RBI and five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games, bouncing back from a quiet stretch right after the All-Star break. The first baseman has already matched his homer total from last year (21), doing so in 100 games this season compared to 159 contests in 2022. He's slashing a stellar .328/.410/.584 with 71 RBI, 87 runs scored, 12 stolen bases, 35 doubles and two triples while working as the Dodgers' usual No. 2 hitter.

Diaz was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Marlins with left groin tightness, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

After extending to catch a throw to first base, Diaz was removed from the game in the third inning and walked off with a noticeable limp. He's now officially listed as day-to-day with a groin injury and will be re-evaluated Wednesday. The 31-year-old infielder is slashing .321/.387/.482 since July 1.

Diaz was removed from Tuesday's game against Miami with an apparent injury, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

After making a diving play at first base, Diaz had to be pulled from the game early. The Rays haven't released any details yet, but the fact Diaz was limping off the field indicates he injured either his leg or his hip. More information should come soon, but fantasy managers should consider Diaz day-to-day until then.

Cronenworth isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

Cronenworth is just 4-for-21 with three RBI across his last five games and will get a breather for Tuesday's contest. Matthew Batten will start at first base in Cronenworth's absence and bat eighth.

Colorado recalled Montero from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Montero has slashed just .198/.223/.321 in 112 plate appearances this season at the MLB level, but the Rockies need to bolster their supply of position players after placing Kris Bryant on the injured list Tuesday with a fractured finger.

Vaughn (foot) is starting at first base and batting sixth in his return to the lineup Tuesday against the Cubs, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Vaughn has been dealing with a bruised left foot that kept him out of action for a week. He's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one, though, versus right-hander Kyle Hendricks and the crosstown rival Cubs.

Cron (back) said he doesn't expect to return to the lineup until Friday against the Athletics, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Cron will miss a fourth straight game Tuesday at Washington due to lower-back tightness and probably won't play in Wednesday's series finale either. Colorado has a scheduled team off day Thursday before opening a three-game weekend set Friday against the Athletics. Michael Toglia has been filling in at first base.

Cron (back) remains out of the lineup Tuesday at Washington.

Cron has been sidelined since last Friday because of lower-back tightness, though he was able to do some pregame work Monday and will probably try the same Tuesday. Michael Toglia is starting at first base and batting seventh versus the Nationals.

Cooper (illness) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Rays.

Cooper will start at first base and bat third in the Marlins' series opener versus Tampa Bay after getting scratched from Sunday's series finale against the Rockies due to a mild illness. He holds a .733 OPS with 12 homers and 44 RBI through 78 games this season.

Smith is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Rockies.

Colorado is throwing left-hander Austin Gomber, so Joey Meneses will play first base and Keibert Ruiz will take a turn as the Nationals' designated hitter. Smith has a .647 OPS this year against southpaws.
