Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Power picking up
Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a solo home run Monday against the Angels.
Vaughn took Griffin Canning deep in the fourth inning to tally his seventh homer of the season and second in his last four games. While his power production had been lagging, Vaughn has had a productive second half of May, recording at least one hit in 10 of his last 13 starts while hitting .271 with seven RBI and eight runs scored in that span. Overall, he now has a .180 ISO, the highest mark of his three-year career.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Out at least three months
Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said he expects White to miss a minimum of three months after undergoing surgery on his left hip May 22, MLB.com reports. "The surgery released the tendon that was impinging his joint and also cleaned up significant scar tissue in and around the hip area," Hollander said. "It will obviously be a lengthy rehab process. I would say three months minimum for him to be back out on a baseball field in some sort of rehab-type activity."
White appears to be headed for another lost season after he required another procedure on the same hip he had surgically repaired in 2021. The 27-year-old is expected to head to the Mariners' spring training complex in Arizona later this week to begin what will likely be an arduous rehab process. The Mariners won't have a more specific timeline for White's return until he gets further along in his rehab, but Hollander's comments suggest the first baseman won't be ready to return from the 60-day injured list until September at the earliest. White had previously been shelved after suffering a Grade 2 left groin strain while playing for Triple-A Tacoma on April 1, with the Mariners later determining after follow-up tests that he needed another hip surgery.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Athletics' Ryan Noda: Uncorks key three-run blast
Noda went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a win over Atlanta on Monday.
Noda's 355-foot shot in the fifth with Jonah Bride and Esteury Ruiz aboard snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Athletics a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Noda has now reached safely in 11 straight starts, a stretch where he owns a .973 OPS despite a pair of hitless pinch-hit at-bats and a 36.2 percent strikeout rate.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Three hits, two RBI in win
Pasquantino went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 7-0 win over the Cardinals.
Pasquantino's RBI double in the third inning was ultimately all the Royals needed. The first baseman has hit safely in four of his last five games, going 8-for-23 (.348) in that span. While it's a small sample, it's also an encouraging return to form after he struggled at the plate for a couple of weeks in May. For the season, Pasquantino is slashing .262/.341/.466 with nine home runs, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored and 15 doubles through 54 contests.

Nick Pratto 1B | TEX
Royals' Nick Pratto: Smacks three hits
Pratto went 3-for-6 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 7-0 win over the Cardinals.
This was Pratto's fifth turn in the leadoff spot in the last seven games, though he's struggled a bit since he bumped Bobby Witt from atop the order. Over that seven-game span, Pratto has gone 6-for-27 (.222) with just two extra-base hits and a 4:10 BB:K. Despite the recent struggles, he's still sporting one of the Royals' more encouraging batting lines, slashing .301/.395/.437 through 30 contests. Pratto also has a 32.8 percent strikeout rate and just one stolen base on the year, so he doesn't really possess the tools to be an effective long-term option at leadoff.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Absent from Monday's lineup
Rizzo (neck) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Rizzo exited Sunday's win over the Padres with a neck injury he suffered in a collision with Fernando Tatis at first base on a pickoff attempt. While he had been expected to start Monday, the Yankees have ultimately elected to sit him. DJ LeMahieu will play first base and Oswaldo Cabrera will be at third.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Pirates' Carlos Santana: Expects to avoid IL
Santana (back) said Monday that he doesn't expect to go on the 10-day injured list, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Santana isn't in the lineup for Monday's series opener in San Francisco after his back injury forced him out of Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Mariners, but he said he's receiving more of a scheduled day off and hopes to be ready "in the next couple of days." The veteran first baseman has a .678 OPS with three home runs in 49 contests this season.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Brewers' Luke Voit: Activated and DFA'd
The Brewers reinstated Voit (neck) from the 10-day injured list Monday and designated him for assignment, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Voit recently wrapped up an eight-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville and appears to be fully recovered from a neck strain, but the Brewers don't have a spot available for him on the roster. Rather than clearing a spot for Voit, the Brewers will stick with Darin Ruf as their preferred right-handed-hitting option at first base or designated hitter. If Voit isn't claimed off waivers by another team, expect him to elect free agency rather than staying in the organization and accepting an outright assignment to Nashville.

Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Summoned to majors
Montero was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque by the Rockies on Monday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Montero has destroyed Triple-A pitching since his demotion in late April, posting a 1.200 OPS with 13 home runs over just 28 games. While Montero is probably worth another long look by the Rockies, he's replacing Charlie Blackmon (bereavement) on the roster and might only be around until Blackmon returns later this week.
