Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

Pasquantino helped knock Yu Darvish out of the game with a two-run shot in the sixth inning. The first baseman has delivered some power to the Royals' lineup. He has eight homers in 193 plate appearances after posting 10 long balls in 298 plate appearances last season. Pasquantino has been excellent in multiple categories with 21 runs and 21 RBI this season.

Naylor (leg) is out of the lineup Wednesday versus the White Sox.

Naylor was pulled from Tuesday's series opener in Chicago due to left leg tightness and is considered day-to-day leading into the second game of the three-game set. Josh Bell is playing first base and batting cleanup Wednesday with Amed Rosario taking a turn at designated hitter and batting second.

Tellez is not starting Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Darin Ruf will cover first base and bat cleanup with young lefty Matthew Liberatore on the mound for St. Louis. William Contreras is serving as the designated hitter and batting second.

Guerrero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, but Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that an MRI on the24-year-old's right knee came back negative, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Guerrero left Tuesday's 6-3 loss after feeling soreness in the knee. Though he'll take Wednesday off, the good news is that Guerrero appears to have avoided a major injury and is being considered day-to-day. Brandon Belt will fill in for Guerrero at first base Wednesday.

Gurriel will start at first base and bat seventh Wednesday against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Garrett Cooper will slide into the lineup as the designated hitter and Jorge Soler will play right field to open up a spot for Gurriel. The 38-year-old is sporting a .681 OPS with three home runs in 97 plate appearances on the season.

Casas is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against Seattle, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Casas will take a seat against southpaw Marco Gonzales for the final game of the three-game set against the Mariners. Justin Turner gets the start at first base with Masataka Yoshida lining up at designated hitter and Rob Refsnyder starting in left.

Noda entered Tuesday's extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks as a pinch hitter in the fifth inning and remained in the game at first base, going 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a walk.

Noda's 424-foot shot to center in the seventh with the bases jammed erased an 8-4 deficit and set the Athletics up to eventually prevail in extras. The 27-year-old rookie hadn't left the yard since April 28, and the big blast snapped him out of the 1-for-21 funk he'd been mired in over the previous eight games.

Toglia is starting at first base and batting seventh for the Rockies on Wednesday against the Phillies, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Toglia wasn't in the lineup Monday for the first game after his recall, but he's now started two straight -- this one is against a righty. Mike Moustakas is on the bench. The two should share first base while C.J. Cron (back) is out.

Diaz (groin) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mets but hopes to return to action in Thursday's series finale, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Diaz injured his left groin in Sunday's win over the Yankees and is set to remain on the bench for a second straight game Wednesday, but he looks as though he'll avoid a trip to the 10-day injured list. He was available to pinch hit Tuesday and figures to be Wednesday, as well.

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 victory over Pittsburgh.

Torkleson extended Detroit's lead to 2-0 with his RBI double in the first inning. He'd lead off the third with his second double, eventually scoring on an errant pickoff attempt. The 23-year-old Torkelson is now 15-for-46 in his last 12 games, with six doubles and a home run in that span. Following a slow start to the season, he's now slashing .238/.290/.367 with three homers, 14 runs scored and 18 RBI through 162 plate appearances.
