Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Sent down Saturday
Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Aranda was called up by the Rays on July 10 and went 4-for-13 with a double, a run, an RBI and three strikeouts over five games during his stint with the major-league club. However, he'll head back to the minors after Brandon Lowe (back) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Saturday. Aranda is expected to get playing time in the outfield in addition to his infield work with the Triple-A club.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Returns to lineup
Bohm (finger) is starting Saturday against Miami.
Bohm sustained a dislocated left ring finger Monday against the Cardinals and didn't appear in any of the last three games. However, he'll start at third base and bat seventh during Saturday's matchup.

Kevin Padlo 1B | LAD
Mariners' Kevin Padlo: Sent back down
Padlo was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.
The 26-year-old was called up Friday to provide additional infield depth after Carlos Santana (personal) was placed on the restricted list. However, Padlo will head back to the minors since Santana was activated Saturday.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Mariners' Carlos Santana: Reinstated from restricted list
Santana (personal) was reinstated from the restricted list Saturday.
Santana was away from the team Friday while addressing a family emergency, but he'll rejoin the club prior to Saturday's matchup against the Rangers. He should be the team's top option at first base for the final two games ahead of the All-Star break.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Could be trade target
The Diamondbacks are willing to discuss trades involving Walker leading up to the Aug. 2 deadline, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Walker rebounded from a down year in 2021 and is tied for ninth in MLB with 22 home runs -- he hit No. 22 on Friday. While his .206 batting average may not look appealing, the first baseman's expected average (.269 xBA) and on-base rate (.400 xwOBA, 17th in MLB) paint a different picture of his value. Teams more analytically inclined will see through the low batting average.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Hits two-run blast
Walker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Padres.
Walker had gone 11 games without a long ball since his two-homer game versus the Rockies on July 2. Since that date, he's hit .179 (7-for-39) with only one multi-hit performance. The first baseman's downturn in power of late hurts his fantasy profile, as he doesn't often hit consistently. He's slashing .206/.319/.467 with 22 homers, 45 RBI, 44 runs scored, 12 doubles and a triple through 88 contests.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Pops homer in win
Cron went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Friday's 13-2 win over the Pirates.
Cron has been hampered by a wrist injury over the last week, but he was able to make an impact Friday. His solo shot in the seventh inning sparked a four-run rally to pad the Rockies' lead, and it was his 21st long ball of the season. Since June 25, he's batting .311 (19-for-61) with four homers, 17 RBI and nine runs scored. The first baseman has maintained a stellar .296/.349/.553 slash line with 69 RBI, 54 runs scored and 20 doubles through 88 contests overall.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Sitting Friday
Flores (calf) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
Flores was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to right calf soreness, and he'll be absent from the starting nine again Friday. David Villar will receive another start at the hot corner for San Francisco.
-
Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Takes seat Friday
Tellez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.
Tellez started the past eight games and will head to the bench Friday after posting a .161/.235/.258 slash line during that span. Mike Brosseau will take over at first base for Milwaukee.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Resting Friday
Gurriel will sit Friday against the Athletics.
Gurriel has just two hits in his last four games, dropping his season slash line to .231/.283/.383. J.J. Matijevic will get the start at first base in his absence.
