Rengifo went 4-for-5 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Rengifo delivered an RBI single in the first inning to open the scoring. Over his last 25 games, the infielder has hit .276 (29-for-105) with six home runs, a triple, four doubles, 17 RBI and 12 runs scored. He's cemented himself in the heart of the Angels' order, often hitting fourth behind Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, which typically is a fruitful position. Rengifo is slashing .273/.304/.433 with 11 homers, 40 RBI, 35 runs scored, five stolen bases, four triples and 19 doubles through 100 contests.

Massey went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Guardians.

Massey has started to cool off at the plate, going 0-for-6 in his last two contests after a four-game hitting streak. He was still able to log his third walk in four games Monday before stealing second and scoring on a Drew Waters home run in the fifth inning. Massey is up to three steals to go with one homer, nine RBI, nine runs scored, six doubles and a triple while maintaining a .265/.354/.378 slash line through 114 plate appearances.

Hernandez agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract extension Monday that will keep him in Boston for the 2023 season, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Hernandez, who just turned 31, is having a bit of a down year while also missing time with a hip injury. However, his strong play in center field and ability to play the infield when necessary is part of what appeals to Boston. Hernandez is hitting .222/.287/.359 with six home runs, zero steals and 0.3 fWAR in 67 games on the final year of a two-year, $14 million contract.

Brujan was spiked in Monday's game against the Red Sox but he should be OK, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

He appeared as a pinch hitter and was then spiked and exited the game after one plate appearance. It sounds like he is at-worst day-to-day, and given that Brujan is a bench player, an absence from the lineup wouldn't necessarily mean he is injured. He has yet to start a game since getting recalled on Aug. 31.

Espinal isn't starting the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Espinal returned to the lineup for Monday's matinee and went 0-for-3 with a run and a walk. Cavan Biggio is taking over at the keystone and batting sixth during Game 2.

Miller isn't starting Monday against the Royals.

Miller has lost out on regular playing time for the Guardians recently, and he'll head to the bench for the fourth time in the last six games. Amed Rosario is serving as the designated hitter and batting second Monday.

Frazier isn't in the lineup Monday against the White Sox.

Winker started the last three games and went 2-for-11 with a run and a walk. He'll get a day off while Abraham Toro starts at the keystone and bats eighth.

Lowe (triceps/elbow) fielded grounders, swung the bat and took part in throwing drills Sunday, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.com reports.

Lowe, who is recovering from a right triceps/elbow contusion, is eligible to return from the 10-day injured list Wednesday. His involvement Sunday in what appeared to be a full workout would seem to suggest that he's trending toward being ready to rejoin the Rays on Wednesday, though it's possible the organization may want to send him out on a brief rehab assignment beforehand. Whenever the lefty-hitting Lowe is officially activated, he'll likely settle into the large side of a platoon at second base with either Yu Chang or Isaac Paredes.

Triple-A Norfolk placed Arauz on its restricted list Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

After being optioned to Triple-A on Aug. 23, Arauz appeared in five games before Norfolk deactivated him. An explanation behind Arauz's placement on the restricted list isn't known, and it's unclear when the infielder might be ready to rejoin the Orioles' top affiliate.

Arroyo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.

Arroyo is on the bench for the second straight game and looks like he's been moved back into a utility role in the aftermath of second baseman Trevor Story recently returning from the injured list and with first baseman Triston Casas receiving a promotion from Triple-A Worcester. The righty-hitting Arroyo will likely see most of his starts against left-handed pitching moving forward.
