The veteran shortstop ultimately missed just one game after suffering what manager Bob Melvin described as a stinger on his left arm on a check-swing Friday. Andrus saw a brief three-game hitting streak snapped with Sunday's empty box score, lowering his August slash line to a miserable .197/.250/.282.

Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Lands on injured list
Ibanez (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday.
Ibanez left Saturday's game with what was originally called left hamstring tightness. The diagnosis has since been upgraded to a strain, so he'll miss at least nine more days, with the move being backdated to Sunday. Nick Solak started at second base in his absence and will likely continue to play there until Ibanez returns.

Arauz (undisclosed) isn't starting Monday's game against the Rays, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Arauz was removed from Sunday's game against Cleveland with an apparent injury, but he'll be available off the bench if needed Monday, Browne reports. Yairo Munoz will take his place at the keystone and bat ninth.

Ibanez (hamstring) isn't starting Monday's game against the Rockies.
Ibanez exited Saturday's game against the Astros with left hamstring tightness and underwent testing Sunday. While the results of his tests aren't yet clear, he'll be out of the lineup for a second consecutive contest. Nick Solak will start at the keystone and bat sixth.

Lopez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Seattle.
The shortstop finished the four-game series in Seattle at 10-for-17 with two RBI and four runs scored. All 10 of Lopez's hits in the series were singles, as he continues to make light but efficient contact from the No. 2 hole in the order. He raised his slash line to .292/.361/.362 with Sunday's third consecutive three-hit effort.

Kemp went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run in a 3-1 victory over the Yankees on Sunday.
Kemp began Sunday's game on the bench and entered for Chad Pinder in the seventh, singling in his first at-bat and connecting on a Chad Green offering in the eighth to put Oakland ahead for good. The utility man enjoyed a successful weekend series against New York, recording three multi-hit games to go a combined 6-for-8 with a double and Sunday's homer.

Red Sox's Jonathan Arauz: Leaves with apparent injury
Arauz exited Sunday's game against Cleveland with an apparent injury during the fourth inning, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Arauz suffered the injury while striking out with the bases loaded to the end the fourth inning, and he was replaced in the field for the bottom half of the frame. The Red Sox are already depleted at second bae with Enrique Hernandez (COVID-19) and Christian Arroyo (COVID-19) sidelined, leaving Yairo Munoz to take over at the keystone.

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Expected to return Friday
Torres (thumb) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Torres will appear in rehab games Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and he's slated to rejoin the major-league club ahead of Friday's series opener against the Orioles. The 24-year-old suffered a sprained left thumb Aug. 8 but is slated to return to action after missing just under a month.
