Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Rehab plans made
Arroyo (hamstring) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday and could be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's game against Texas, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Arroyo had a good week of rehab, which included running the bases again Sunday. His return gives manager Alex Cora lineup flexibility, particularly against lefties, either in a starting or pinch-hitting role.

Yonny Hernandez 2B | NYM
Rangers' Yonny Hernandez: Bats leadoff
Hernandez batted leadoff and went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over Oakland.
Texas manager Chris Woodward switched Hernandez and Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the order, moving the rookie to leadoff while the veteran dropped to second. The tweak worked as the 23-year-old Hernandez reached base four times. He opened the game with a seven-pitch walk, then raced home from first on a double by Kiner-Falefa. The adjustment may benefit Kiner-Falefa, who is a career .344 hitter from the two hole.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Bumped up to Double-A
The Orioles promoted Westburg from High-A Aberdeen to Double-A Bowie on Monday, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
The No. 30 overall pick in the 2020 first-year player draft will receive his second promotion of the season after beginning his professional career at Low-A Delmarva before moving on to Aberdeen on June 1. Danny Mendick 3B | CHW
White Sox's Danny Mendick: Starts at 3B
Mendick started at third base and went 1-for-2 in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Yankees.
Yoan Moncada was given a day off from the field and served as designated hitter, giving Mendick an opportunity to start. He was eventually replaced for a pinch hitter, lefty-batting Jake Lamb, when righty Stephen Ridings entered the game. Mendick could get the utility infield assignments that would normally go to Leury Garcia, who was placed on the 7-day concussion list retroactive to Aug. 13.

Santiago Espinal 2B | LAD
Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Delivers three hits in win
Espinal went 3-for-4 with three base hits and his fourth stolen base of the season in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Mariners.
Though he didn't score or produce any runs while batting out of the No. 9 spot, Espinal did his part to turn the lineup over and run up pitch counts on Mariners starter Logan Gilbert and the three relievers Seattle used on the afternoon. Espinal was making his sixth consecutive start at third base and appears to have at least temporarily moved ahead of Breyvic Valera, who started at second base after being withheld from the lineup the previous two days.
