    Stott will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Monday's game versus the Giants, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

    Edmundo Sosa handled shortstop for the Phillies in the team's first two games without Trea Turner (hamstring), but Stott will man the position Monday while Whit Merrifield plays second base. Stott is making his first start at shortstop since Game 6 of the 2022 World Series.

    Estrada gave the Giants some late life with a two-run blast in the seventh off Taijuan Walker, which ultimately knocked him from the game. The 28-year-old is riding a five-game hit streak and has six RBI over his last four games. In 12 games since April 21, Estrada is slashing .333/.364/.595 with two homers, nine RBI, six runs and a 1:5 BB:K.

    Garcia went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a steal during Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.

    Garcia's third homer of the season was a solo shot in the third and represented the second of his four hits on the day, with three of those hits producing runs. It was the culmination of a big weekend for Garcia, who went 7-for-9 with two walks, two homers, eight RBI and four runs and a steal during the three-game set, raising his average to .337 in the process.

    Gorman is 1-for-17 with four walks and five strikeouts over his past six games, and he'll receive a day to reset Sunday. Jose Fermin is starting at the keystone and batting eighth in the series finale versus Chicago.

    Estrada went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 14-3 loss to the Phillies.

    Estrada has found some consistency in May, going 7-for-17 (.412) over the first four games of the month. He's added two doubles and four RBI in that short stretch. He started slowly, but the second baseman is now up to a respectable .254/.270/.426 slash line with four home runs, 17 RBI, 13 runs scored, one stolen base, seven doubles and one triple over 126 plate appearances.

    Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

    Triolo will take a seat for the series finale after he started in each of the past 11 games while getting on base at a .333 clip over that stretch. Alika Williams will step in at second base while Triolo rests Sunday.

    Arraez went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

    Arraez wasted no time in establishing a good first impression with his new team, smacking a leadoff double on the second pitch he saw from Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before coming around to score San Diego's first run of the contest. The newly acquired infielder would add another three singles on the night, with the latter one leading to an eight-run seventh inning for the Padres. It marked Arraez's second game this season with four hits, and he's now registered at least one knock in seven straight.

  • Cubs' Miles Mastrobuoni: Called up from Triple-A

    The Cubs recalled Mastrobuoni from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday.

    Mastrobuoni made the Cubs' Opening Day roster and was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on April 18 after Patrick Wisdom returned from a stint on the 10-day injured list due to a back injury. Mastrobuoni has appeared in 10 games for Iowa, slashing .231/.318/.436 with 10 runs, five doubles, one home run and four RBI over 44 plate appearances. Matt Mervis was sent down to Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move.
