Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Injury not major concern
Rodgers' shoulder strain isn't considered to be a major injury, and he's expected to be able to throw within the next few days, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Rodgers reportedly jammed his shoulder in a collision with Manny Machado while sliding into third base Saturday. Whether or not he'll be able to return when first eligible next Wednesday remains to be seen, but it doesn't seem likely that he'll wind up missing the rest of the year.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Looking for better results
Frazier went 1-for-4 with a walk and two RBI in an 8-7 loss to the Cubs on Tuesday.
He's strung together a modest four-game hitting streak (5-for-14) with three walks. For the season, however, Frazier continues to struggle with a .210 batting average and six extra-base hits in 134 plate appearances. He moved down to eighth in the batting order, albeit against tough lefty Jon Lester, for just the second time in 2020. Frazier's name came up at the trade deadline and it wouldn't be surprising to see him traded in the offseason.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Will play center field
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Marte and rookie Daulton Varsho will share center field after the team traded Starling Marte, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Varsho got the start Tuesday, but Lovullo said Marte will move from second base to the outfield as well. He spent most of his breakout 2019 campaign as a center fielder. Tim Locastro will also be in the center-field mix.

Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Mets' Andres Gimenez: Slugs first career homer
Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Orioles.
Gimenez took Tom Eshelman deep in the sixth inning to record his first career home run. The 21-year-old was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Aug. 28, with Tuesday being his first start since. He took advantage of the opportunity, but with Robinson Cano, J.D. Davis and Amed Rosario manning his primary positions, Gimenez may find regular at-bats difficult to come by.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Tallies three hits
McNeil went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored Tuesday against the Orioles.
McNeil extended his hitting streak to five games with this performance, during which he's gone 8-for-18 with four doubles an RBI and two runs scored. While his power has been nowhere to be found to this point in the season, McNeil has maintained a .289 batting average and .351 on-base percentage through 111 plate appearances.

Amed Rosario SS | NYY
Mets' Amed Rosario: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Rosario isn't starting Tuesday against the Orioles.
Rosario has gone hitless in his past six at-bats, and he'll get a day off Tuesday. Andres Gimenez will start at shortstop in his absence.
-
Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Recalled by Diamondbacks
Rojas was recalled from the Diamondbacks' alternate training site Tuesday.
After spending a month at the alternate site, Rojas will rejoin the major-league club Tuesday. He recorded just one at-bat during his first stint with the team in 2020 and likely won't play a significant role going forward.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Brewers' Luis Urias: Takes seat Tuesday
Urias isn't in Tuesday's lineup against the Tigers.
Urias has gone 1-for-13 with one RBI, one run and eight strikeouts over the past three games, and he'll get a breather Tuesday. Keston Hiura will take his place at second base.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: Cleared to return
Diaz (opt out) was cleared to return Tuesday following an agreement between MLB and the MLBPA, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
Diaz opted out at the start of August during the Marlins' COVID-19 outbreak, but he's evidently changed his mind and now feels safe to play out the remainder of the season. The Marlins traded Jonathan Villar to the Blue Jays on Monday, so Diaz should have a clear path to at-bats at second base. The 24-year-old has the potential to one day hit for both power and average, though he's done neither through his first 51 career big-league games, hitting just .156/.257/.303.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Pair of doubles in loss
McNeil went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the 5-3 loss to Miami on Monday.
McNeil opened the scoring in the third inning, driving in Amed Rosario with a double to right field. The second baseman hit another two-bagger later in the game and is now hitting .269/.336/.344 on the season.
