Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Delivers key homer
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Friday's 6-4 win over Milwaukee.
Hernandez provided the Dodgers with three insurance runs in the ninth inning, pushing the lead to four. He's notched a hit in seven of his last 10 games, slugging two homers and driving in five over that span. Though he's struggled to hit for average (.230), Hernandez sits with a season-high 17 homers through just 89 games.

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Exits game early
Albies was lifted from Friday's matchup against the Nationals after suffering an apparent injury, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
Albies appeared to suffer the injury on a slide towards home plate, as he was seen grabbing his right hamstring after the play, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Charlie Culberson entered the game in his place. More news on Albies' status should emerge in the near future, but he'll be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Suffers elbow injury
Hoerner has been shut down for the season due to a ligament strain in his left elbow, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Hoerner suffered the injury during a game at Low-A South Bend while diving for a ball. Although the young shortstop won't require surgery, he'll be held out of baseball activities for the next 4-to-6 weeks as a precaution. Hoerner is slated to head to Arizona to rehab sometime in August with the hope that he'll be healthy enough to play during the fall.

Isan Diaz 2B | DET
Marlins' Isan Diaz: Moves up to Triple-A
Diaz was promoted to Triple-A New Orleans on Thursday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Over his past eight games with Double-A Jacksonville, Diaz hit .393/.485/.893 with four home runs and 12 RBI. The 22-year-old didn't set the world on fire with Jacksonville, posting a .783 OPS over 83 contests, but he will get an opportunity at the Triple-A level for the first time in his career nonetheless. The infielder will need to improve upon a strikeout rate that has hovered around 26 percent over the past two years, but he brings solid defense and speed (10 stolen bases with Jacksonville) to the table along with a developing bat.

Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Records 16th home run
Hernandez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two RBI on Sunday against the Angels.
Hernandez went deep in the seventh inning against right-hander Taylor Cole to record his 16th home run of the season. He heads into the All-Star break having started in the Dodgers' last six games due at least in part to Justin Turner's (groin) continued absence. He hasn't taken advantage as he has only managed four hits in 21 at-bats across the six starts.

Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Makes sixth straight start
Hernandez will start at second base and bat eighth Sunday against the Angels, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Hernandez will draw his sixth consecutive start heading into the All-Star break, with his defensive versatility in addition to Justin Turner's groin injury affording the former a heavy workload. Once the Dodgers have all their regulars at optimal health, Hernandez will likely only be a mainstay in the lineup against left-handed pitching, whom he has crushed throughout his career.

Kelby Tomlinson 2B | SF
Giants' Kelby Tomlinson: Called up, batting eighth
Tomlinson was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, Chris Haft of MLB.com reports. He'll start at second base and bat eighth in the Giants' series finale against the Athletics.
Tomlinson had joined the team in San Francisco ahead of Sunday's game as a member of the taxi squad in anticipation of first baseman Brandon Belt being placed on the paternity list, but the Giants instead cleared room for the infielder on the active roster by placing pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) on the 10-day disabled list. Though he'll enter the starting nine Sunday as the Giants stack their lineup with right-handed bats against Athletics lefty Sean Manaea, it's not expected that Tomlinson will be in store for a long-term stay with the big club.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Connects for homer
Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday in the Diamondbacks' win over the Braves.
The infielder popped a big fly off Sean Newcomb in the sixth inning for his ninth home run of the season. Marte has fared much better against lefties this year (.300/.364/.583, compared to .205/.269/.330) and caught a struggling southpaw at the right time. He might have a solid second half as a deep-league fantasy middle infielder, at least in platoon situations.

The club hasn't yet revealed the reason they're readying Tomlinson for a possible activation to the main roster, but more details may be revealed if they need to make a move on the final day before the All-Star break.
