Adael Amador SS | COL
Rockies' Adael Amador: Demoted Thursday
The Rockies optioned Amador to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
The 22-year-old is one of the organization's top prospects but struggled in his first extended look at the big leagues this season with a .146/.240/.225 slash line over 102 plate appearances. Amador has just 10 games under his belt at the Triple-A level, so an extended stay at Albuquerque could be in order.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Extends hit streak
Albies went 2-for-8 with a home run, three RBI and a second run scored across both games of Thursday's doubleheader with the Phillies.
After extending his hit streak to 13 games in the opening game, Albies launched his first home run since May 3 in the nightcap, a two-run blast off Zack Wheeler in the fourth inning that extended Atlanta's lead to 4-0. Albies is 18-for-52 (.346) during the streak, as he looks to have bounced back from a slow start this year. The second baseman is slashing .241/.307/.361 with six homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs scored and five steals across 238 plate appearances this season.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Optioned to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Lawlar to Triple-A Reno on Thursday, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Phoenix reports.
Lawlar earned a promotion to the big leagues May 12 after slashing .336/.413/.579 through 173 plate appearances in Triple-A. However, he failed to record a hit over 19 at-bats at the MLB level and never had a clear path to playing time with the Diamondbacks, so he'll head back to the minors. Ildemaro Vargas signed a major-league contract with Arizona on Thursday and will fill Lawlar's place on the active roster.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Launches fifth homer
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.
The second baseman got Washington on the board by taking George Kirby deep in the second inning, one of four long balls on the night by the Nats. Garcia has found a groove at the plate since returning from paternity leave in mid-May, batting .281 (9-for-32) over his last nine games with two of his five homers on the season, as well as four doubles, five runs and seven RBI.

Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Homers in return to lineup
Donovan went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Orioles.
Donovan looked healthy after missing Tuesday's contest with hip tightness, smacking a go-ahead home run in the fifth inning. While the homer was his first since April 18, the 28-year-old has slashed .337/.413/.467 in May with nine doubles, seven RBI and 15 runs scored. Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Absence continuing Wednesday
Marte (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
The second baseman was held out of the starting nine Tuesday due to flu-like symptoms and will sit Wednesday for a second consecutive game. Arizona has a team day off Thursday, which should give Marte enough time to get healthy for Friday's series opener against Washington. Jordan Lawlar is receiving another start at the keystone in Wednesday's series finale.

Matt McLain SS | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Enters as pinch hitter
McLain entered Tuesday's game as a pinch hitter and went 0-for-1 with an RBI in a 7-2 win over the Royals.
McLain took a seat on the bench to open the game while Gavin Lux filled in at second base. McLain eventually pitch hit for Lux against a lefty, contributing a run-scoring groundout in the eighth inning, and then finished the game at the keystone. McLain's navigated an early-season slump but entered Tuesday's contest on a modest four-game hit streak (5-for-17).
