The Guardians placed Miller on COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Along with Miller, pitchers Cal Quantrill and Anthony Castro were placed on the COVID-19 injured list. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Miller looks as though he'll be unavailable for both games of Wednesday's doubleheader with the White Sox, at a minimum.

Gimenez is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the White Sox, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

With southpaw Dallas Keuchel on the mound for Chicago for the matinee game, the lefty-hitting Gimenez will bow out of the starting nine, as is usually the case when the Guardians face left-handed pitching. The Guardians called up prospect Gabriel Arias from Triple-A Columbus and will install him as the starting second baseman and No. 7 hitter for the front end of the doubleheader in Gimenez's stead. Arias is up with the club as the 29th man for the twin bill, so he's expected to head back to Columbus after Wednesday's games and isn't believed to be a threat to Gimenez's starting role.

Miller is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the White Sox, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Miller will take a seat after seven straight starts, with his hot start to the campaign allowing him to usurp Bobby Bradley as the Guardians' preferred option at first base. Josh Naylor has since returned from the injured list and could be a factor at first base on days he doesn't play the corner outfield, but Miller's ability to play second base and designated hitter should afford him multiple avenues to holding down a full-time role so long as he's productive at the plate.

Lopez went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Twins.

Lopez hit second in this contest after often hitting in the bottom third of the order to start the year. The move up was partially due to Carlos Santana's (undisclosed) absence from the lineup, but Lopez has also earned more at-bats. He's batting .385 with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored through nine games, while both Whit Merrifield and Bobby Witt are sporting .139 batting averages. Lopez's solid contact skills at the plate and strong defense at second base will keep him as a fixture in the lineup, though fantasy managers would see more of a benefit if he stays closer to the top of the order.

Albies went 2-for-5 with a double, run and stolen base in a 3-1 victory against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Albies doubled in the third inning, then singled, stole second and scored in the fifth to register his second multi-hit game of the season. The theft was the 25-year-old's first after he posted a career high of 20 set last season. That speed, when paired with a slugging of .577 so far for 2022, puts Albies in rare company.

Kemp went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a 2-1 win against Baltimore on Tuesday.

Kemp walked in the first and third innings, swiping second following the latter, but wasn't able to contribute any counting stats otherwise. The 30-year-old utility man has been a staple atop Oakland's lineup due to his high walk rate, though he lacks power and is yet to log an extra-base hit this season. Kemp is on pace to surpass a career-high nine steals set in 2018 if he continues at his current rate.

Brujan (knee) is in the lineup for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Brujan has been sidelined since April 6 with knee soreness but is back on the field Tuesday. The 24-year-old received his first taste of the big leagues last year and is likely to receive another opportunity at some point in 2022 as one of the organization's top prospects.

Urias (quadriceps) recently dealt with some discomfort but is still scheduled to play in an extended spring training game Thursday, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Urias' recovery from the quadriceps injury has been slow, so the recent discomfort is a worrying sign even if it won't affect his current progress. If all goes well Thursday, the 24-year-old could begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend.

Drury is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Drury started the past four games but will receive Tuesday off after going 1-for-12 with a double, two walks and four strikeouts. The 29-year-old should continue to see increased playing time while Jonathan India (hamstring) remains on the injured list.

Lux was removed from Tuesday's lineup versus Atlanta due to back tightness, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Lux was penciled in to start in left field but will instead remain on the bench due to a back issue. Cody Bellinger, who was slated to receive a day off Tuesday, will replace him in the lineup. Lux should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.
