During that stretch, he's compiled a strong .262/.347/.571 slash line with two steals, eight RBI and 10 runs, as Semien tries to salvage his first campaign for New York. Lowe led off the fourth inning with a home run, his 24th of the season. He's been one of the few bright spots in the Pirates' offense of late, going 18-for-51 (.353) with three home runs, seven RBI and nine runs scored across his last 12 contests. Travis Bazzana 2B | CLE
Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Yanked for PH in sixth inning
Bazzana went 0-for-2 with a walk before being replaced by a pinch hitter during the sixth inning of Thursday's 13-6 loss to the Mets.
Bazzana, who returned to the leadoff spot Thursday with Steven Kwan getting a day off, was removed for pinch hitter Jo Adell in the sixth inning. The game was still in doubt -- New York held a 6-5 lead at the time -- so it wasn't case of emptying the bench in a blowout. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt may have made the move because a lefty reliever entered the game, but the manager hasn't made a habit of pinch hitting for Bazzana against lefties. The rookie has a .188/.299/.238 slash line over 117 plate appearances against southpaws.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Getting rest Thursday
Albies isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins.

Mauricio Dubon will fill in at second base while Albies sits, putting Mike Yastrzemski in left field and allowing Dominic Smith to serve as the DH.

Justin Foscue 2B | TEX
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Slaps first career triple in win
Foscue went 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-0 win over San Francisco.
Foscue played a role in Texas' four-run third inning, connecting for the first triple of his career, which drove in two runs. He also scored in that inning. He served as the designated hitter with a left-hander on the bump for the Giants, and as has often been the case for the right-handed-batting Foscue, he was removed for a pinch hitter when a right-handed reliever entered the contest.

Matt McLain 2B | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Clubs homer in win
McLain went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the A's.
McLain has been an active part of Cincinnati's lineup, starting in every game, since returning from the 10-day injured list in late July due to a calf injury. The second baseman has continued his light hitting (4-for-19 with two extra base-hits), but he hit a clutch long ball Wednesday to right to give the Reds a 2-1 lead. The homer ends a 27-game power drought that dated back to June 7.
