Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Knocks 10th homer
Sosa went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia.
Sosa knocked a two-run shot in the ninth inning of the 6-3 loss. He's up to 10 home runs through 91 games this season, including six over his last 26 games. Tuesday's long ball snapped an 11-game homerless drought. Sosa is now slashing .274/.299/.422 for the year and has gone 21-for-72 (.292) over his last 19 games.

Brice Matthews LF | HOU
Astros' Brice Matthews: Sitting out again Tuesday
Matthews is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Nationals.
Matthews is just 1-for-15 with nine strikeouts over his previous five games and has now been out of the lineup three times across the Astros' last five contests. Shay Whitcomb is handling second base and batting eighth Tuesday.

Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Returns to lineup Tuesday
Edman (ankle) will start at third base and bat seventh in Tuesday's contest versus the Reds.
Edman was absent from Monday's lineup due to a right ankle injury he suffered over the weekend, but he tested the ankle out pregame Tuesday and felt well enough to give it a go. The switch hitter is slashing a woeful .150/.239/.200 in July.

Hye Seong Kim SS | LAD
Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Placed on IL with shoulder issue
The Dodgers placed Kim on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with left shoulder bursitis.
Kim has been nursing the shoulder problem for more than a week, and while he was in the Dodgers' lineup Monday in Cincinnati, the team has ultimately decided it's best for the 26-year-old to rest for a bit. According to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Kim will head back to Los Angeles to receive an injection and will be shut down for a few days, but there's optimism he won't be sidelined for too long.

Alex Freeland 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Alex Freeland: Summoned to big leagues
The Dodgers selected Freeland's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
One of the team's top prospects, Freeland earned a promotion after slashing .253/.377/.421 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases at Oklahoma City. The switch hitter should see some action in the infield with Hyeseong Kim (shoulder) landing on the 10-day injured list and with Tommy Edman (ankle) banged up. Freeland's stint in the majors could be short, however, as Max Muncy (knee) is due back from the injured list soon.

Jackson Holliday 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Idle for early game
Holliday is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Blue Jays.
The Orioles are going with a right-handed-heavy lineup to counter Blue Jays southpaw Easton Lucas in the first game of the day, so the lefty-hitting Holliday will begin the twin bill on the bench. Jordan Westburg will draw the start at second base in Game 1, but Holliday will likely occupy the keystone in the nightcap.

Brett Wisely 2B | ATL
Giants' Brett Wisely: Logs RBI in loss
Wisely went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Pirates.
Wisely cracked a ground-rule double to right-center field in the second inning, driving in a run and pulling the Giants within two. The 26-year-old has seen limited playing time recently, though he did draw starts at second base in back-to-back games. Over 10 outings this month, Wisely is slashing .269/.296/.500 with six RBI, four runs scored, three doubles, a home run and a stolen base across 27 plate appearances.

David Hamilton 3B | MIL
Red Sox's David Hamilton: Has impact off bench
Hamilton entered as a pinch runner, stole two bases and scored a run in Monday's 5-4 loss to Minnesota.
Hamilton pinch ran for Abraham Toro in the top of the ninth and was responsible for giving the Red Sox the lead, but Jordan Hicks was unable to close out the Twins in the bottom of the frame. Hamilton, who was recently called up from Triple-A Worcester, is up to 17 steals over 64 games. He should remain up with the team for as long as it takes Marcelo Mayer (wrist) to heal.
