  • Reds' Santiago Espinal: Logs first RBI of 2025

Espinal went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Pirates.

Espinal got the scoring started Sunday with a two-run single in the third inning that brought home Austin Wynns and TJ Friedl. It was Espinal's first RBI of the season, and he's gone 5-for-15 over his last four starts.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Getting Sunday off

Semien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Semien will get his first day off this season after starting at second base and leading off in each of Texas' first 15 games. With Semien getting off to a 5-for-38 start to April, he stands to benefit from a chance to clear his head. Designated hitter Joc Pederson will assume leadoff duties, while Josh Smith fills in for Semien at second base.

  • Ryan Bliss SS | SEA

Mariners' Ryan Bliss: Shifts to 60-day IL

The Mariners transferred Bliss (biceps) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Bliss is expected to miss up to five months after he underwent surgery Friday to repair a left biceps tear, so his move to the 60-day IL won't affect his timeline. The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Ben Williamson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma.

  • Astros' Brendan Rodgers: Not starting Sunday

Rodgers (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

He'll be on the bench for the third game in a row while he manages a sore left hip. Houston is viewing Rodgers as day-to-day. Mauricio Dubon will take over the keystone Sunday.

  • Adael Amador SS | COL

Rockies' Adael Amador: Summoned from Triple-A

The Rockies recalled Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday. He will start at second base and bat ninth in the Rockies' series finale against the Padres.

Amador will join the Rockies' 26-man active roster as a replacement for Tyler Freeman, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left oblique strain. The 22-year-old infielder previously hit .171 over 10 games in his first taste of the big leagues last season, but he's gotten off to a hot start to the campaign at Triple-A, slashing .275/.408/.450 with two stolen bases, nine runs scored, two home runs and four RBI across 49 plate appearances. Kyle Farmer has served as the Rockies' primary option at the keystone so far this season, but Amador could end up getting a look in a near-everyday role while he's up with the big club.

  • Tyler Freeman 3B | COL

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Lands on 10-day IL

The Rockies placed Freeman on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left oblique strain.

Freeman was initially included in the Rockies' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres, but he was scratched after tweaking his oblique in the batting cage. Further tests revealed a strain, and the injury is severe enough to warrant a stint on the injured list. To shore up their infield depth, the Rockies recalled Adael Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Nationals' Amed Rosario: Getting another start at third

Rosario will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Marlins.

He'll man the hot corner for the second day in a row after going 1-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 7-6 loss. With Rosario now entering the lineup on consecutive days against right-handed starting pitchers, he appears to be the Nationals' preferred option at third base over Jose Tena, while Paul DeJong shifts over to shortstop in the absence of CJ Abrams (hip).

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Idle against southpaw

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

With southpaw Chris Sale toeing the rubber for Atlanta, Lowe will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed bats Jonathan Aranda and Kameron Misner. Coco Montes will enter the lineup in Lowe's stead, occupying second base and batting seventh.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Idle against lefty

Stott is not in the Phillies' starting lineup against the Cardinals on Sunday.

With St. Louis sending southpaw Matthew Liberatore to the mound, Stott will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout while Edmundo Sosa starts at second base and bats seventh. Stott is slashing .250/.321/.375 with one stolen base, five runs, one home run and six RBI in 53 plate appearances to start the season.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Sitting Sunday

Fitzgerald is not in the Giants' starting lineup against the Yankees on Sunday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Fitzgerald will begin Sunday's game in the dugout while Christian Koss starts at the keystone and bats ninth against Yankees southpaw Carlos Rodon. Fitzgerald is slashing .237/.293/.289 with four stolen bases, four runs scored and one RBI across 43 plate appearances this season.
