  • Justin Foscue 1B | TEX

Rangers' Justin Foscue: Makes second straight start

Foscue started at designated hitter and went 0-for-3 in Sunday's 3-2 win over Baltimore.

Foscue made his second straight start since being promoted from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday and has gone 1-for-7 with a double and a run scored between those two contests. Both starts have come against right-handed pitching, and Foscue appears to have overtaken the lefty-hitting Travis Jankowski as the preferred option at DH.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Tallies seventh homer

Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Giants.

Rodgers accounted for all of Colorado's offense with his seventh home run of the season. Despite playing in Coors Field for nine of his 16 games in July, he has hit just .197 with two home runs, four RBI and seven runs scored for the month.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Set for extended absence

Atlanta announced that Albies is expected to miss approximately eight weeks after he underwent X-rays following Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Cardinals that revealed a left wrist fracture.

Albies suffered the injury while attempting to apply a tag on a stolen-base attempt in the ninth inning of Sunday's game. He'll now be forced to miss approximately two months of action, making him a cut candidate in most redraft leagues and leaving a major hole in the middle infield for Atlanta. The team is expected to call up Nacho Alvarez from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, and the latter will replace Albies on the major-league roster -- and potentially as the club's everyday second baseman -- once Albies is officially placed on the injured list.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Gets two hits, swipes bag

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Guardians.

Bogaerts has been hot at the plate since his return from a fractured shoulder, with multiple hits in four of five games since being activated. Bogaerts is now 8-for-21 since his return, but he's still looking for his first extra-base hit since May. The stolen base was his fifth of the season, and he could present value in the second half of the season if he keeps up this type of production.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Heading to injured list

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said after Sunday's loss to the Cardinals that Albies will go on the injured list due to a left wrist injury, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The specifics of the issue are unclear as Albies continues to be evaluated, but he suffered the injury while applying a tag on a stolen base during the ninth inning Sunday. The 27-year-old will be out for at least the rest of July but could face a longer absence, depending on the diagnosis.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | COL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Not in Sunday's lineup

Estrada is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Estrada has gone 1-for-7 with a triple and two RBI in the first two games of the second half and will sit Sunday versus Colorado righty Ryan Feltner. Brett Wisely will shift to second base while Tyler Fitzgerald starts at shortstop.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Out of Sunday's lineup

Massey is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Massey went 3-for-8 with a triple, three RBI and a run in the first two games out of the second half but will head to the bench for Sunday's contest. Garrett Hampson will receive a start at second base and bat sixth in the series finale.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting versus southpaw

Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Lefty Marco Gonzales is pitching Sunday for Pittsburgh, so Stott will head to the bench for the second time in the series. Edmundo Sosa will start at the keystone and bat sixth for Philadelphia in the finale.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Not starting Sunday

McNeil is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

McNeil went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Saturday after he clubbed two homers in the second-half opener Friday, and he'll head to the bench for Sunday's contest as lefty Trevor Rogers takes the mound for Miami. Tyrone Taylor will receive a start in right field while Jose Iglesias mans the keystone.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Taking seat vs. lefty

Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The Reds are bringing a lefty (Andrew Abbott) to the hill for the second day in a row, so the left-handed-hitting Garcia will once again take a seat. Ildemaro Vargas will sub in for Garcia at second base.
