  • Jorge Polanco 2B | NYM

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Launches first homer

Polanco went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and an additional RBI during Saturday's 5-3 win over the Brewers.

Polanco is still hitting just .176 on the season but has shown signs of life lately with a hit in each of his past five games, though he's gone just 5-for-20 during that stretch. The 30-year-old is still batting out of the No. 3 spot for now, but he may need to get on track soon to retain that slot.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Back in action Saturday

Rengifo (head) is starting at second base Saturday against the Red Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Rengifo has been sidelined for the past few days after leaving Wednesday's contest due to lightheadedness. The issue has seemingly subsided ahead of Saturday's contest, so the 27-year-old will give Brandon Drury a breather and look to tally a hit in his third consecutive game.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Sitting Saturday

Drury isn't in the Angels' lineup for Saturday's contest against the Red Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Drury will get a breather Saturday after slashing .160/.250/.160 through his first seven games. Luis Rengifo (head) will return to cover second base while batting seventh.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Returns to lineup

Lowe (side) is starting at second base and batting second Saturday against the Rockies, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lowe's side tightness and a left-handed Rockies starter prevented him from starting Friday's contest, but he entered the game as a pinch hitter and made three plate appearances during the loss. Now, with right-hander Ryan Feltner on the mound for Colorado, the 29-year-old infielder will return to the lineup in search of his first hit since March 29.

  • Lenyn Sosa 2B | CHW

White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Recalled from Charlotte

The White Sox recalled Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.

Sosa was officially called up after the White Sox moved Luis Robert (hip) to the 10-day injured list. Sosa had a good start with Charlotte, going 8-for-24 with one home run, three RBI and five walks. He will draw the start at second base and bat seventh in Saturday's game against the Royals.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Royals' Adam Frazier: Not starting Saturday

Frazier is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Frazier will sit for the second time in the last three games despite the White Sox sending out right-hander Chris Flexen for Saturday's game. Frazier is batting .263/.333/.263 with two RBI to start the season. Nick Loftin will start at second base and bat seventh in the lineup.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Idle versus lefty

Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Cubs, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Left-handed starter Jordan Wicks will take the mound for the Cubs on Saturday, so the lefty-hitting Lux will step out of the lineup. Mookie Betts will cover second base instead while Miguel Rojas starts at shortstop.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Gets breather against lefty

Garcia isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

With left-hander Ranger Suarez on the mound for Philadelphia, the lefty-hitting Garcia will step out of the lineup Saturday. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in at the keystone and bat seventh.

  • Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Back in lineup

Donovan (elbow) is starting in left field Saturday against the Marlins, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Donovan was hit by two pitches during Wednesday's game against the Padres, prompting a day off Thursday to recover. Now seemingly healthy, the 27-year-old super-utility man will return to the top of the Cardinals' lineup and look to stay hot after slashing .308/.438/.500 to begin the year.

  • Andy Ibanez 2B | ATH

Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Not in starting lineup Saturday

Ibanez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Ibanez is batting .308 with three RBI over 15 plate appearances to start the season, but he will take a seat against right-hander Paul Blackburn. Expect Ibanez to start primarily against left-handed pitching while moving around the diamond.
