Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Limps off field
Guillorme exited Saturday's game against the Red Sox with an apparent leg injury, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
Guillorme limped off the field, though he was walking better by the time he reached the dugout, per Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald. The exact nature of his injury is unclear, but it was at least serious enough to force him from the game. He isn't a regular starter, so it's likely he'll hit the bench Sunday regardless of how his leg feels.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Recalled from Triple-A
Brujan was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 25-year-old is taking the roster spot vacated by Taylor Walls (oblique) and could see some starts while Walls is out, particularly versus left-handers. Brujan posted a lowly .486 OPS during his time in the big leagues in 2023.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Taking seat Saturday
Westburg is absent from the lineup for Saturday's game in Tampa Bay, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
It's a rare off day versus a lefty for Westburg, although it's no ordinary southpaw in Shane McClanahan. Gunnar Henderson will be at third base while Jorge Mateo plays shortstop.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Not in Saturday's lineup
Donovan remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
Donovan hasn't taken the field since late June while dealing with a flexor strain, but he's made 10 starts as a designated hitter since then, with his 1.042 OPS indicating that the issue seemingly affects only his ability to throw, not hit. He's nonetheless been stuck on the bench for three straight days, first due to a doctor's visit and then due to a pair of matchups against southpaws. (Righty Michael Fulmer will be the first pitcher on the mound for Chicago on Saturday, but lefty Drew Smyly is expected to handle the bulk innings.) Nolan Arenado will fill the DH spot, with Jose Fermin starting at the hot corner.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Big power display in loss
Marte went 3-for-5 with a triple, two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 9-6 loss to the Reds.
The veteran infielder took Ben Lively deep in the first inning for a solo shot before launching a two-run blast in seventh off Fernando Cruz. The 11 total bases were a single-game career high for Marte, who is having his most productive season since his breakout 2019 -- through 91 games, he's slashing .286/.361/.516 with 17 homers, six steals, 54 RBI and 67 runs.

Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH
Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Drives in a pair Friday
Diaz went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a bases-loaded walk in a loss to the Astros on Friday.
The rookie accounted for half of the Athletics' runs on the night with a timely third-inning knock and a disciplined plate appearance in the fifth that led to a walk. Diaz has hit safely in three of his past four games and now has a trio of two-RBI efforts since July 5 while also generating a .297 average and .828 OPS across 41 plate appearances during the latter span.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Pops ninth homer
Stott went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.
The 25-year-old infielder took Nick Sandlin deep in the seventh inning to get the Phillies within a run, but it was the last gasp of offense for either team. Stott has been on fire since the All-Star break, hitting safely in six straight games and batting .417 (10-for-24) over that stretch to boost his slash line on the season to .307/.344/.440 with nine homers, 16 steals, 36 RBI and 47 runs in 91 contests.

Jose Caballero 2B | NYY
Mariners' Jose Caballero: Logs steal in win
Caballero went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.
Caballero's playing time is on the rise again -- he's started four of the last five games at second base, including three times against right-handed pitchers. The 26-year-old has gone just 3-for-16 with one RBI in that span, but it's not like Kolten Wong (4-for-30 in July) is doing much better. Caballero is up to a .228/.354/.333 slash line with 16 steals, three home runs, 21 RBI and 23 runs scored through 198 plate appearances this year.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Posts steal
Kemp went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Astros.
Kemp saw his seven-game hitting streak snapped Thursday, but he bounced back well Friday. The 31-year-old has shown more of a willingness to run lately, recording seven steals over his last 16 contests. He's slashing a meager .213/.306/.307 with three home runs, 19 RBI, 31 runs scored, seven doubles and three triples over 79 contests, and his 11 stolen bases match his career high from last year. Kemp is seeing most of his playing time in left field lately, though that could change once Ramon Laureano (hand) is activated from the injured list.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Two-homer effort in loss
Massey finished 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in the Royals' loss to the Yankees on Friday.
Massey entered the day in a rut, but he parked a three-run shot to right field off Clarke Schmidt in the top of the fourth inning and added a solo drive off Tommy Kahnle in the top of the eighth. It was the first career multi-homer game for the 25-year-old second baseman, who now has six home runs in 243 plate appearances this year.
