Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Big game in loss
Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Monday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.
With the Angels bolstering their infield in June, Rengifo's lost most of his paths to everyday playing time. He drew the start in right field Monday, then moved to shortstop mid-game. The 26-year-old's defensive versatility will keep him in the mix as cover for multiple positions, but his .215/.303/.327 slash line through 72 contests has done little to earn him more time. He's added five homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs scored and five stolen bases over 234 plate appearances.

Jose Caballero 2B | NYY
Mariners' Jose Caballero: Two steals off bench Monday
Caballero recorded two stolen bases and scored one run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Giants.
Caballero ran for Mike Ford in the ninth inning and proceeded to steal second and third before scoring on a J.P. Crawford sacrifice fly. He's been on the bench to begin two of the Mariners' three games in July, so it appears Caballero's playing time could be on the decline. Caballero is 13-for-15 on the basepaths while adding three home runs, 19 RBI, 20 runs scored and .239/.375/.358 slash line through 54 contests.

Brett Wisely 2B | ATL
Giants' Brett Wisely: Back with Giants
Wisely was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Mariners, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Wisely will take the roster spot of Thairo Estrada, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a fractured hand. Wisely provides the Giants with plenty of versatility, as he's drawn starts at second base, third, shortstop and in left and center field so far this season.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Placed on 10-day IL
Estrada was moved to the 10-day injured list Monday due to a fractured left hand, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Estrada was struck by a pitch during Sunday's series finale, and after further evaluation, it was determined he suffered a fracture. The timetable for his return is still up in the air, as his return date will likely depend on the location and severity of the fracture.

Jorge Polanco 2B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Doing sprints Monday
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Polanco (hamstring) will do some "high-effort sprints" Monday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
He's also set to go through other baseball activities with the team. Polanco wouldn't appear to be too far off from a rehab assignment and is expected to require a handful of games when he is deemed ready. The veteran second baseman has missed a large chunk of the season with a knee injury and a pair of hamstring strains.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: X-rays come back negative
X-rays on Westburg's left hand have come back negative, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Westburg is not in the Orioles' lineup Monday after being hit in the hand by a pitch in Sunday's win over the Twins, but he took batting practice pregame and is feeling much better. Consider him day-to-day. The O's are going with Ramon Urias at second base and Gunnar Henderson at third Monday versus the Yankees.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Rays' Vidal Brujan: Sent down Monday
Brujan was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Brujan will head to Tacoma after being called up June 5, batting .176 average with two doubles, two RBI, four runs and two stolen bases over 34 at-bats in 12 games. He'll look to regroup in Triple-A and attempt to earn another promotion later this season.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Idle versus lefty again
Julien is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
Julien will sit for the second straight day and for the third time in five games while the Twins face off against left-hander Austin Cox in the series opener with the Royals. Manager Rocco Baldelli seems to view Julien as a strict platoon player at the moment, but Julien should still occupy a prominent spot in the batting order when the Twins oppose right-handed pitchers.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Nursing hand injury
Westburg is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees after picking up a left hand injury in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Twins, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Westburg took a pitch to the hand in his eighth-inning plate appearance Sunday, but he was able to stay in the game for the top of the ninth as the Orioles finished off the victory. However, manager Brandon Hyde told Rill afterward that Westburg would get imaging done on his hand, and while the results of those tests aren't known, the rookie infielder will be out of the lineup for at least one game. Ramon Urias will enter the starting nine at second base Monday while Westburg hits the bench.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Idle versus lefty
Donovan is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.
Donovan previously sat out both ends of a doubleheader Saturday against the Yankees while battling an arm injury, but he returned to the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 win over New York and went 3-for-4 with a home run. The Cardinals haven't indicated that he suffered a setback during that contest, so the lefty-hitting Donovan's absence from the lineup Monday likely has more to do with the fact that the Marlins are bringing southpaw Braxton Garrett to the hill.
