Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Swipes two bags in win

Kim went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and two stolen bases in a 5-3 victory versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Kim came into the contest in the midst of an eight-game slump during which he batted just 2-for-25 with 10 strikeouts. The infielder gained some positive momentum toward snapping the cold stretch by reaching base three times and scoring two of the Padres' five runs. Kim no doubt made his fantasy managers happy by adding two steals, giving him three in three attempts on the campaign.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Logs steal Wednesday

Rosario went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

  • Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Three hits, stolen base in win

Espinal went 3-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the White Sox.

Espinal made an impact in his first game since suffering a wrist contusion on April 22, hitting three singles while stealing his first bag of the season. The 28-year-old infielder had gotten off to a sluggish start to the season, going just 4-for-35 before the injury. Following the three-hit performance, Espinal is slashing .179/.238/.256 with one homer, five RBI and five runs scored through 42 plate appearances. He'll likely continue filling a utility role off the bench for Toronto.

After getting a day off Tuesday, Torres returned to the lineup Wednesday and extended his hit steak to four games. He led off the Yankees' five-run second inning with a double and scored on a single by Willie Calhoun. Torres extended the lead to 11-1 in the fourth with a two-run homer, marking his third long ball of the season and first since April 3. The 26-year-old has appeared in 23 of New York's 25 games, so barring the occasional rest day, he's locked in as the team's everyday second baseman.

Cardinals' Taylor Motter: Returns to big leagues

Motter signed a one-year, major-league contract with the Cardinals on Wednesday and was added to their active 26-man roster, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

St. Louis removed Motter from its 40-man roster this past Sunday, but he passed through waivers unclaimed and will now get another shot in the big leagues following the demotion of Jordan Walker. Motter, 33, is a career .192/.264/.310 hitter in 466 plate appearances at the MLB level.

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Returns to lineup

Arraez (knee) is back in the lineup Wednesday in Atlanta, starting at second base and batting cleanup, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Resting against lefty

Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Caballero would add an RBI in the seventh, driving in Cal Raleigh with a sacrifice fly. The 27-year-old Caballero has shown off some speed in his first taste of MLB action, though he's yet to do much with the bat. He's now 3-for-14 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI and two steals through his first five games.

  • Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Gets breather for matinee game

Polanco is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Donovan Solano will check in for Polanco at second base.
