  • Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Back in lineup Wednesday

Espinal (wrist) is starting at second base and batting ninth Wednesday versus the White Sox.

After suffering a right wrist contusion Saturday when he was hit by a Gerrit Cole fastball, Espinal had been available off the bench for both of the Blue Jays' first two games this week against the White Sox but went unused. He'll now get the chance to re-enter the lineup, as Whit Merrifield will moves from the infield to left field while Kevin Kiermaier gets the afternoon off.

  • Alan Trejo SS | COL

Rockies' Alan Trejo: Tallies first stolen base

Trejo went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base Tuesday against the Guardians.

Trejo was in the lineup for the seventh time in the last eight games, as he's taken over as Colorado's primary second baseman. He hasn't taken advantage of that extra run by collecting only four hits across 26 at-bats. Trejo's performance could improve when the Rockies return home, but his primary value to the team will remain his work with the glove.

  • Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM

Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Pilfers two bags in loss

Bae went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 8-7 loss to the Dodgers.

Getting the start in center field and batting eighth, the utility player ran wild against Noah Syndergaard, who had trouble keeping runners close even before MLB made basestealing easier. Bae is up to seven stolen bases in eight attempts this season, but the 23-year-old hasn't done much else to make a fantasy impact, slashing .224/.288/.343 through 74 plate appearances with two homers, eight RBI and 13 runs.

  • Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Not starting Wednesday

Arroyo (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Arroyo departed Tuesday's 8-6 win with right hamstring tightness, so it's not overly surprising that he'll sit out for a day game after a night game. The Red Sox described Arroyo's removal from the contest as precautionary, and at this stage, he appears on track to avoid a stint on the injured list. If he quickly moves past the hamstring issue, Arroyo could step back into an everyday role in the middle infield after Yu Chang (wrist) landed on the IL on Tuesday and is expected to miss the next six weeks.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Steals bag Tuesday

Estrada went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Estrada reached on an infield single in the second inning. He stole second base and wound up scoring on the play after a throwing error from Willson Contreras. The 27-year-old has tallied at least a hit in 10 of his last 12 games and is slashing .310/.362/.494 with four homers, seven RBI, 18 runs, six stolen bases and a 5:20 BB:K over 94 plate appearances.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Two more hits Tuesday

Massey went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Massey drove in a run in the fifth to extend the Royals' lead to 3-1. The 25-year-old now has three straight multi-hit games, but after that is still slashing just .188/.182/.203 with no homers, five RBI, four runs scored and a 0:23 BB:K over 66 plate appearances. The lack of plate discipline is certainly alarming, but perhaps Massey could be finding his way the at the dish with his recent hitting production.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Goes yard in loss

Semien went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Reds.

Semien launched his fifth homer in the fifth inning. He's hit safely in 10 off the last 11 games, carrying a 1.217 OPS with four home runs, 15 RBI and 14 runs during that stretch.

  • Luis Rengifo 3B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Swipes second bag

Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.

Rengifo got started with a single and a stolen base and would come around to score after the Angels tacked on four runs against Mason Miller in the opening frame. The 26-year-old is slashing just .203/.338/.266 with only two extra-base hits, seven RBI, 12 runs and an 11:16 BB:K over 77 plate appearances. Rengifo is known for being an aggressive hitter but is currently walking at a 14.7 percent clip, which would be the best mark of his career.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Returns to lineup

Rojas started at third base and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to Kansas City.

Rojas returned to the lineup after getting Monday off and was back at leadoff. The infielder has slumped of late, going hitless over the last 13 at-bats. With left-hander Ryan Yarbrough scheduled to throw Wednesday, Rojas could get another off day while Evan Longoria mans the hot corner.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Hits pair of long balls Tuesday

Albies went 2-for-4 with two homers, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Marlins.

Albies was a one-man wrecking crew against the Miami bullpen, swatting solo homers off lefty relievers Andrew Nardi and Tanner Scott in the sixth and eighth innings. The Atlanta second baseman has been mashing left-handed pitching this season with a .406/.424/.750 slash line and 10 RBI in 33 plate appearances against them.
