  • Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR

White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Making fifth straight start

Sosa is starting at second base and batting eighth for the White Sox in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

It's the fifth straight start for Sosa, who is 3-for-16 with a home run in his previous four contests. The 23-year-old is one of the White Sox' better prospects and is worth using in deeper fantasy leagues while he's playing regularly, although that might only be the case while Tim Anderson (knee) is out.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Aiming to return Friday

Rosario is hoping to return to the lineup Friday versus the Marlins after an MRI on his back was negative, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

There's an outside chance Rosario could be available sooner than that, but it sounds like Friday is realistically his first shot to be back in action. Rosario hasn't played since Saturday because of a back issue. Tyler Freeman has been recalled and is starting the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.

  • Blue Jays' Santiago Espinal: Hits homer as replacement

Espinal went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-2 loss against Houston.

Espinal replaced Bo Bichette at shortstop in the bottom of the seventh, and he hit his first homer of the season in the top of the eighth. It was only the third hit this season for the backup middle infielder, who's appeared in just 10 of Toronto's 17 games.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Sits in first game of twin bill

Rosario (back) is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers.

Rosario is dealing with a minor back issue and will sit out at least the first game of Tuesday's twin bill. Tyler Freeman will get the nod at shortstop in the early game in Rosario's stead.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Hits solo home run in win

Semien went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 4-0 win over the Royals.

Semien reached on an error by third baseman Hunter Dozier to start the game and came around to score on a three-run homer by Josh Jung. The second baseman extended the Rangers' lead to 4-0 with a solo shot in the third, marking his third long ball of the season. During Semien's current four-game hitting streak, he has totaled three extra-base knocks, six RBI and six runs.

  • Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM

Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Productive in Monday's win

Bae went 1-for-4 with two RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 14-3 win over the Rockies.

The Pirates scored six runs in the second inning of a blowout win, and Bae contributed to the rally with a bunt single that drove in one. He then proceeded to steal third base to tally his fifth stolen bag of the season. Though Pittsburgh shifts its lineup considerably when a lefty is on the mound, Bae has been a consistence presence in the batting order regardless of handedness and has an everyday role on the team. Through 55 plate appearances, he has chipped in 10 runs scored and eight RBI despite hitting just .220/.278/.380.

  • Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Settling into leadoff role

Dubon went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored Monday against the Blue Jays.

Dubon led off the bottom half of the first inning with a single, and he ultimately came around to score as the Astros put up seven runs in the frame. He hit atop the order for the third consecutive game, though that's likely to be a short-term role only so long as Chas McCormick (eye) is sidelined. On the other hand, Dubon has started eight consecutive contests at second base and appears to be the preferred option at the position in Jose Altuve's (thumb) absence. Dubon has taken advantage of his opportunity early on by reaching base at a .357 clip and scoring 10 runs across 56 plate appearances.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Delivers two runs in return

Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 6-3 win over the Cardinals.

Marte delivered Josh Rojas, who had doubled to lead off the game, then gave the Diamondbacks a 2-1 lead in the seventh with his second homer of the season. His bat came around during the second full week of baseball, as Marte has batted .296 (8-for-29) with four extra-base hits over the last seven games.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Homers as pinch hitter

Turang went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 7-2 win against Seattle.

Turang began the game on the bench with lefty Chris Flexen on the mound for Seattle, but the rookie got a chance to hit for Owen Miller in the seventh inning. Turang came through with a solo homer for his second career long ball. He's holding his own in the majors thus far as the Brewers' primary second baseman, slashing .283/.340/.435 with seven runs, six RBI and three steals over 16 games.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Scores three runs

Hoerner went 2-for-5 with an RBI, three runs scored, a stolen base and a walk in Monday's 10-1 win over Oakland.

Hoerner singled in a run and scored during the Cubs' four-run sixth inning. He crossed home three times in the big win, bringing him to 16 runs scored with an MLB-leading nine steals through 15 games. Hoerner posted his eighth multi-hit game and improved his slash line to .338/.394/.385.
