Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Garners third straight start
Stefanic will start at second base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Mariners, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The rookie finds himself in the lineup for a third straight contest and should have a fairly clear path to an everyday role in the middle infield after David Fletcher (hand) was placed on the injured list Saturday. Through his first 53 big-league plate appearances, Stefanic is hitting .191 with one extra-base hit (a double) and a 4:10 BB:K.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Records 19th steal
Estrada went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Dodgers.
Estrada singled, moved to second on an error, stole third and scored on a fielder's choice in the first inning. He was in the leadoff spot for just the second time this year, though he's hit everywhere but ninth at least once as one of the sturdiest Giants this season. He's hitting .280 with two home runs, three steals, four RBI and seven runs scored through 15 games in September, lifting his season slash line to .263/.321/.406 through 126 contests.

Alan Trejo SS | COL
Rockies' Alan Trejo: Takes seat Sunday
Trejo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Trejo started the past four games and will head to the bench after he went 3-for-12 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs during that stretch. Garrett Hampson will step in at shortstop and bat ninth Sunday.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Stellar day on bases Saturday
Kemp went 3-for-5 with a triple, two stolen bases and three runs in a win over the Astros on Saturday.
The veteran put together a textbook leadoff effort, serving as a constant thorn in the side of Astros pitching throughout the game. Kemp scored both the first and final runs of the game for Oakland, and he also crossed the plate on Seth Brown's critical three-run home run in the fifth inning that gave Oakland a 6-4 lead. The three runs pushed him to a new career high of 55, while the pair of key thefts boosted his total in that category to 10, also a new high-water mark. Kemp now has a trio of multi-hit efforts in his last seven games alone, a span during which he's posted a .346 average and a 1.164 OPS.

Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH
Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Hitting seventh in debut
Diaz is starting at first base and batting seventh in his big-league debut Sunday against the Astros.
Diaz will have the platoon advantage Sunday, but he'll also be facing Framber Valdez, who has been one of the most dominant starters in the league in the second half. Diaz, one of Oakland's best hitting prospects, figures to see time at first base, designated hitter, second base and third base while playing regularly over the rest of the season. He hit .326/.366/.515 with 19 home runs in 120 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Heads to bench Sunday
Chavis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Chavis started the previous four contests and will take a seat after he went 4-for-14 with a double, four RBI and two runs in that span. Zack Collins is starting at first base and batting eighth Sunday.
-
Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Starting at first base Sunday
Arroyo is in Sunday's starting lineup at first base and batting sixth.
This will be Arroyo's fifth consecutive start, with two of those coming at first base and three others at second base, as Trevor Story (heel) hasn't played since Tuesday. Yu Chang starts in place of Story at second Sunday.

Rylan Bannon 2B | NYM
Braves' Rylan Bannon: Recalled from Triple-A
Bannon was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Bannon, who was claimed off waivers after getting designated for assignment by the Orioles a little over a month ago, will take the spot on the active roster of Ozzie Albies (fractured pinky). Bannon has hit .323/.432/.477 with two home runs and four steals in 20 games since joining Atlanta's organization.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Out for rest of regular season
Albies was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a fractured right pinky finger.
Albies will not require surgery, but he has been ruled out for the rest of the regular season. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks, and it's possible he could return sometime during the playoffs. Vaughn Grissom should re-assume an everyday role at the keystone while Albies is out.

Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Eight hits across twin bill
Rosario went 8-for-13 with a home run, six RBI and a stolen base as the Guardians swept Saturday's doubleheader against the Twins.
Rosario recorded four hits in each contest, though he had eight at-bats to do so in the 15-inning nightcap. The shortstop nonetheless played a key role in that contest, with a game-tying RBI single in the 13th inning before forcing an error that allowed the Guardians to walk it off in the 15th. With the monster stat line Saturday, he's up to a .283/.314/.403 slash line through 138 contests this year. He's added 10 homers, 14 steals, 64 RBI and 76 runs scored, and he's batting .284 in September as he continues to be a consistent presence in the No. 2 spot in the order.
