Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Steals base in return
Garcia went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Reds.
Out since Aug. 12 due to a groin injury, Garcia hit second in his return to action and proved he was 100 percent healthy by stealing his second bag of the year. The 22-year-old is slashing .275/.292/.420 in 20 games since the All-Star break, and Garcia will spend the rest of the season getting comfortable at second base alongside his double-play partner for the foreseeable future, CJ Abrams.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: On bench Saturday
Lowe (elbow) isn't starting Saturday against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Playing time could dry up
Arroyo's path to playing time could dry up if Trevor Story (wrist) is activated Saturday, as reported by Christopher Smith of MassLive.com.
Arroyo has been the primary fill-in at Story's position, second base, since coming off the injured list in late July and has thrived in that time, slashing .367/.400/.511 over 23 games. He can also play shortstop and third base, but those spots are taken up by Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers. Boston manager Alex Cora could get creative and use Arroyo at first base, where Eric Hosmer (back) had been starter before landing on the injured list. Arroyo has worked out at first base but manned the position for only a couple of innings this season.

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Delivers with bases loaded
Rojas went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the White Sox.
Rojas figured prominently in Arizona's six-run second inning. With the bases loaded, he cleared them with a double, then scored on Emmanuel Rivera's two-run home run. Rojas is up to 42 RBI over 93 games, two shy of the career-high 44 he had in 139 contests last season.

Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Knocks in five
Kim went 3-for-6 with a two-run single, a two-run double and a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Royals.
Kim had an incredible game Friday, just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Austin Nola, Jose Azocar and Jake Cronenworth benefitted from Kim's stellar night as they reached home thanks to Kim. The homer was Kim's seventh of the year and his first since July 29. Although the shortstop has been suffering from a lack of power until Friday's outing, he has gone 26-of-84 this month for a .310 batting average. He is now slashing .259/.334/.388 on the year.

He has seen sporadic playing time this season, batting .125 across six games for Milwaukee before being acquired by Texas. Since joining the Rangers, Mathias has gone 9-for-18 with two homers and eight RBI across six games. He is currently on a three-game hitting streak and now flaunts a .324 batting average for the year.

He's enjoyed quiet success of late, posting four multi-hit efforts in his last eight games while batting .333 (11-for-33) with one extra-base hit, two RBI and three runs scored in that span. For the season, he's posted a strong .286/.321/.409 slash line with eight home runs, 51 RBI and 69 runs scored, operating primarily out of the No. 2 spot in Cleveland's lineup.

Haggerty was removed from Friday's game against the Guardians in the top of the ninth inning due to an apparent finger injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Haggerty took a pitch off his fingers on a bunt attempt in the bottom of the eighth inning and appeared to be in pain afterward. He initially remained in the game but was replaced defensively in the top of the ninth. Prior to his departure, he went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts. The extent of his injury isn't yet clear, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Exits with right elbow contusion
Lowe was removed from Friday's game against the Red Sox in the bottom of the third inning due to a right elbow contusion, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe was hit by a pitch in his right elbow in the top of the third inning and initially remained in the game, but he was replaced defensively in the bottom half of the frame.
