Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Scratched from Wednesday's lineup
Garcia was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Cubs for an undisclosed reason.
The Nationals didn't give a reason for scratching Garcia from the lineup, and it's not clear whether he'll be available off the bench for the series finale at Wrigley Field. Ildemaro Vargas will shift to shortstop while Maikel Franco enters the lineup at third base.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Slugs first career homer
Sosa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Royals.
Sosa drew his first start since being recalled Sunday and he delivered his first career home run. He has a very limited major-league sample but has maintained an .878 OPS across 387 plate appearances between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte this season. However, Sosa may struggle to find regular at-bats with the White Sox, as Josh Harrison and Yoan Moncada have been locked into the lineup at second and third base of late.

Sam Haggerty LF | TEX
Mariners' Sam Haggerty: On base four times in win
Haggerty went 2-for-3 with two walks in an extra-innings win over the Yankees on Tuesday.
The hot-hitting outfielder was the only constant offensive presence for the Mariners in a game that was scoreless until the 13th inning. Haggerty's multi-hit effort was his third in the last four games and pushed his season line to an elite .323/.370/.516 across 100 plate appearances.

Michael Chavis 2B | CIN
Pirates' Michael Chavis: Smashes two long balls
Chavis went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs and three RBI in a 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Chavis got Pittsburgh on the board with a solo shot off opposing starter Tommy Henry in the sixth inning and added a two-run home run in the eighth to cap a three-run frame. The pair of homers were the 26-year-old's first since July 10. He's slashing .389/.389/.778 through 18 at-bats across eight contests to open the month of August.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Two extra base hits in loss
Arroyo went 2-for-5 with one double, one homer, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 extra-innings loss against Atlanta.
Arroyo was one of the bright spots for Boston on Tuesday as he showed off his power with a two-run home run off of Charlie Morton in the second inning and a double off of Morton in the fourth. He has now hit safely in eight of nine games since returning from the IL, improving his slash to .273/.321/.433 in the process. While the hot streak may seem like a fluke, Arroyo has been underperforming almost all season with his xBA of .278 and xSLG of .450, so this could just be positive regression for the infielder.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Racks up four hits
Rodgers went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 16-5 win over the Cardinals.
Rodgers wasn't able to generate much power -- all four of his hits were singles, but he kept the line moving on a busy night for the Rockies' offense. The second baseman has gone 11-for-31 (.355) through his first eight games in August, albeit with only two extra-base hits. The hot stretch has him up to a .284/.334/.432 slash line with 10 home runs, 52 RBI and 57 runs scored through 99 contests.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Doubles, steals base
Altuve went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in a 7-5 win Tuesday over Texas.
Altuve recorded the first hit of the game off Martin Perez when he led off the fourth inning with a single and then came around to score. In the next inning, he doubled in a run and stole third base before scoring on a sacrifice fly. It was his sixth multi-hit game in his last nine outings. Since the All-Star break, he's produced a .325/.366/.494 line in 82 plate appearances.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Two hits including homer
McNeil went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.
McNeil took Mike Minor deep for a solo shot in the fourth inning. The homer, a rare lefty-on-lefty long ball for McNeil, was his seventh of the year and second in the last five games. McNeil has now secured at least one hit in 12 games in a row, batting .429 with three home runs, eight RBI and nine runs over that stretch.

Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Three hits including two doubles
Rosario went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's victory over the Tigers.
Rosario doubled in the fourth inning before adding an RBI two-bagger in the sixth frame. He later singled and scored on a Oscar Gonzalez double in the eighth. The three-hit effort marked his third multi-hit performance of the month and the shortstop is batting .286 with three homers, three doubles, 10 RBI and six runs over eight games since the beginning of August.
