  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Getting Sunday off

Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

After going 1-for-5 with a triple, a walk and an RBI while starting in the first two games of the series, Urias will head to the bench for the finale. Jorge Mateo replaces Urias in the Baltimore lineup, manning second base while batting eighth.

  • Josh H. Smith 2B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Smith: Steal, run scored in win

Smith went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base, a caught stealing and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Houston.

Smith scored the go-ahead run in the 10th inning as the automatic runner and stole his first base in 29 games. The theft was his fifth (in six attempts), a new career high in the majors. Smith was also hit by a pitch for the 15th time this season, most in MLB.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Heading to IL

Miranda (back) will be placed on the injured list Sunday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Miranda was a late scratch Friday due to lower-back stiffness and he didn't take the field Saturday. With the All-Star break coming this week, Minnesota decided that it'd be best to give Miranda extended time off to let the back issue heal. Diego Castillo is expected to be called up in a corresponding move and should help out at third base behind Brooks Lee while Miranda is sidelined.

  • Brooks Lee SS | MIN

Twins' Brooks Lee: Nabs first steal

Lee went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

The steal was Lee's first in the majors. Considering he had just two thefts over 30 minor-league games this season, he shouldn't be expected to make a significant contribution on the basepaths. Modest speed aside, the 23-year-old is an interesting player and he's off to a good start in his Twins career, batting .300 with two home runs, nine RBI and five runs scored across his first 10 big-league contests.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Homers in win Saturday

Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 5-0 win against the Royals on Saturday.

Devers capped the scoring in the contest with a solo blast in the fifth inning. It was his 22nd long ball of the season, tied for eighth most in the majors. Devers also has 59 RBI and is on pace to reach both 30 home runs and 100 RBI for the third time in the past four seasons.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Remains sidelined Saturday

Miranda (back) isn't in the Twins' lineup for Saturday's game versus San Francisco.

Miranda was scratched from Minnesota's lineup ahead of Friday's contest due to back stiffness, and he'll need at least another day to recover before returning to the starting nine. In his absence, Matt Wallner will serve as the Twins' DH and bat fifth.

  • Abraham Toro 1B | BOS

Athletics' Abraham Toro: Working out in Arizona

Toro (hamstring) has been working out at the Athletics' spring training complex in Arizona and could start a rehab assignment after the All-Star break, MLB.com reports.

Toro's recovery seems to be picking up some momentum approximately three weeks in, and it appears he could be ready for a return to game action right at about the one-month mark from his placement on the IL, which transpired June 22. The versatile veteran had been a valuable contributor in all facets before the injury, so a return relatively early in the second half would be a welcome sight for both the team and fantasy managers.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Tigers' Gio Urshela: Getting Saturday off

Urshela isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

After being held hitless in four at-bats during Friday's loss, Urshela will give way to Andy Ibanez, who will start at first base and bat leadoff against Justin Wrobleski.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Stays hot Friday

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.

He belted the first pitch he saw from Andrew Heaney in the fifth inning deep to left field, giving the Astros a 3-0 lead they wouldn't relinquish. Bregman has gone yard three times in the last seven games, batting .370 (10-for-27) over that stretch with 10 RBI, and since the beginning of June he's slashing .315/.376/.490 over 157 plate appearances as he puts a tepid start to 2024 in his rearview mirror.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Scratched with back stiffness

Miranda was scratched from Minnesota's lineup ahead of Friday's game versus the Giants due to lower-back stiffness, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Miranda was originally slated to start at third base Friday, but instead it will be Brooks Lee at the hot corner with Willi Castro at second base, opening up a spot in the outfield for Matt Wallner. The severity of Miranda's injury remains uncertain, though the Twins may offer more details on his status following Friday's game.
