Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Homers Sunday
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 11-3 loss to the Phillies.
Garcia's homer was his first since July 7. Over 35 contests between long balls, the infielder hit .250 and added seven doubles, six RBI, 25 runs scored and nine stolen bases. He's still in the lineup more often than not, but the Royals have also deployed Paul DeJong at third base and Michael Massey and Adam Frazier at second base on occasion. Garcia is slashing .236/.284/.344 with seven homers, 30 steals, 50 RBI and 79 runs scored over 126 games this season.

Josh Rojas 2B | SEA
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Busy afternoon in Sunday's win
Rojas went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a walk, a stolen base and a run in a 4-3 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Rojas was a late addition to the lineup after Luke Raley (undisclosed) was scratched shortly before the first pitch. Rojas ended up being a key contributor, as his sixth-inning RBI single provided Seattle with a key insurance run. Despite Sunday's success, August has mostly been a washout for Rojas, however -- he's still sporting just a .167 average and .460 OPS this month across 59 plate appearances while recording a sole extra-base hit in that span.

Darell Hernaiz SS | OAK
Athletics' Darell Hernaiz: Sent back to Triple-A
The Athletics optioned Hernaiz to Triple-A Las Vegas following Sunday's 4-3 win over the Brewers.
Hernaiz's demotion clears room on the roster for fellow infielder Jacob Wilson (hamstring), who appears set to return from the 10-day injured list ahead of the Athletics' next game Tuesday in Cincinnati. Since being activated from the 60-day IL earlier this month, Hernaiz had settled in as the Athletics' primary option at third base, but he slashed just .209/.306/.326 with three extra-base hits and no stolen bases over 15 games to earn a trip back to Triple-A. With Wilson likely to take over as the Athletics' everyday shortstop, Max Schuemann is expected to slide over from shortstop to replace Hernaiz at third base.

Paul DeJong SS | KC
Royals' Paul DeJong: Taking seat for first game of day
DeJong is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with the Guardians.
Maikel Garcia will step in at third base while DeJong heads to the bench for the opening game of the twin bill. Since being acquired from the White Sox on July 30, DeJong has slashed an impressive .280/.339/.520 over 17 games with the Royals, which has resulted in him poaching some playing time in the infield from Garcia and Michael Massey.

Alex Bregman 3B | HOU
Astros' Alex Bregman: Homers in Sunday's win
Bregman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Orioles.
Bregman pushed the Astros back in front with a solo home in the seventh and they would never look back. It's a continuation of what's already been a strong month for Bregman. He now has eight multi-hit efforts and at least a hit in 14 of his last 16 games while only striking out nine times in 77 at-bats. For the year, he's slashing .260/.316/.448 with 21 homers, 61 RBI, 67 runs, three steals and a 37:69 BB:K in 532 plate appearances.

Ramon Urias 3B | BAL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Provides lone run support
Urias went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Sunday's loss to the Astros.
The Orioles mustered up just two hits, but Urias got a hold of one against Yusei Kikuchi in the fifth to even up the game at 3-3. Urias has swung the bat well lately, slashing .302/.354/.651 with four homers, 13 RBI and seven runs scored since Aug. 10. For the year, he's hitting .247/.316/.416 with nine homers, 31 RBI, 29 runs, a steal and a 21:47 BB:K in 256 plate appearances.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Two thefts in win
Ramirez went 1-for-3 with one RBI and two stolen bases in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rangers.
Ramirez was a menace on the basepaths in the third inning. He stole second and third, but he was thrown out at the plate attempting to steal home. Ramirez doesn't have elite speed, but he makes good decisions in his baserunning -- he's now 32-for-36 on steal attempts this year. He's been especially prolific lately with seven thefts over his last 12 contests despite batting .200 (8-for-40) in that span. Overall, the third baseman is up to a .274/.332/.531 slash line with 33 home runs, 103 RBI and 94 runs scored across 127 games.

Rafael Devers 3B | BOS
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Goes yard Sunday
Devers went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 7-5 loss to Arizona.
Devers took Merrill Kelly yard in the fourth inning with two outs, plating Wilyer Abreu and Triston Casas to give the Red Sox a 4-0 lead. The long ball was Devers' third in the last nine games, a stretch in which he's 9-for-35 with eight RBI and five runs scored. It was also the 200th of his MLB career. The third baseman has 28 home runs on the year and boasts a .952 OPS, which would be a career high if it stands.

Shay Whitcomb SS | HOU
Astros' Shay Whitcomb: On bench again Sunday
Whitcomb is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Whitcomb finds himself on the bench for the second straight game after he started the previous seven contests. Alex Bregman is at third base again Sunday, while Yainer Diaz is serving as the designated hitter.

Josh Rojas 2B | SEA
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Late addition to lineup
Rojas is starting at third base and batting eighth Sunday against the Giants.
The 30-year-old was scheduled to sit against San Francisco lefty Robbie Ray on Sunday, but Luke Raley (undisclosed) ended up being a late scratch. Rojas has struggled through most of August and is in the midst of a 5-for-44 slump.
