Rendon went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a loss to Arizona on Friday.

Rendon was back in the lineup after missing two weeks due to a left wrist contusion. He took one free pass in four plate appearances in his return while slotting into the cleanup spot. Rendon should get ample run-producing opportunities hitting behind Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, though he's done little offensively aside from drawing walks this season, slashing .243/.363/.309 with one homer, 21 RBI and two steals.

Walls went 2-for-5 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base Friday against the Mariners.

Walls was held out of the Rays' lineup for three games with a back issue, but he returned to tally his second multi-hit performance in 24 games in June. He hit just .175 for the month and also had only two stolen bases. Walls is hitting just .218 across 242 plate appearances on the campaign, but his versatility in the field and 12.4 percent walk rate give him the chance to play and rack up runs and stolen bases.

Donaldson isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

It's been tough at the plate for Donaldson this season, as he sports just a .143 batting average through 77 at-bats, but he has put together a three-game hitting streak. He'll sit out Game 1 while Oswaldo Cabrera starts at third base and bats eighth, but it's likely Donaldson returns for Game 2.

Jung went 1-for-3 with a walk and solo home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to Houston.

Jung hit the first of back-to-back homers in the fourth inning, the third baseman's 17th blast of the season. He's hit safely and driven in runs in four straight games, going 5-for-14 with two home runs, five RBI and four walks. Earlier this week, Jung was named an All-Star Game starter, the first Rangers rookie to start in the Midsummer Classic.

Garcia went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Garcia hit cleanup for the third time in the last four games and looked like the Royals' best hitter Friday. It remains to be seen if he stays in the No. 4 hole or if the team is simply trying a different look. The speedy infielder is up to 13 steals without getting caught this season in the majors, slashing .271/.323/.367 with two home runs, 18 RBI, 22 runs scored, nine doubles and a triple through 49 contests.

Peraza returned to the lineup for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday after sitting out 11 days due to an abdominal injury.

Peraza was held out of action while recovering from what was deemed a minor abdominal issue, but he played in each of the RailRaiders' first two games following his return. The shortstop went 0-for-9 with four strikeouts in the pair of contests, so he may have built up a little rust while sitting out. Peraza batted .188 during a 12-game stint with the big-league Yankees early this season, though he may be in line for another call-up before long given his strong .275/.345/.529 slash line, which he's complemented with 11 homers, 24 RBI, 25 runs and 11 stolen bases, over 171 plate appearances at the Triple-A level.

Walls (back) is hitting eighth and playing second base Friday versus Seattle, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls was kept out of the lineup for three consecutive games because of tightness in his back/right lat, but the infielder is ready to roll against the Mariners for the series opener. Vidal Brujan will retreat to the bench with Walls back in the lineup.

Rendon (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and will start at third base Friday versus the Diamondbacks.

Rendon will return to the Angels after a minimum stay on the 10-day IL due to a left wrist contusion. The 33-year-old has struggled to a .067 batting average with two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored over 30 at-bats in June. Rendon will slot in as the cleanup hitter in his return to the lineup.

Burger isn't in the White Sox's lineup Friday against the Athletics.

After a hot start to the season, Burger has cooled down considerably by slashing .136/.191/.386 since the beginning of June. He'll get a day off Friday while Zach Remillard starts at third base and bats ninth.

Oakland optioned Bride to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Bride slashed just .196/.323/.216 across 21 games (63 plate appearances) during his four-week stay on the Athletics' major-league roster. Jace Peterson had largely taken over as the team's primary third baseman even before this move.
