Zach McKinstry 3B | DET
Tigers' Zach McKinstry: Sitting against right-hander
McKinstry is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.
The left-handed-hitting McKinstry had started in each of the last four games while the Tigers faced right-handed pitchers, but he went just 2-for-15 during that stretch to bring his batting average down to .258 for the season. The Tigers will go up against another righty (Spencer Arrighetti) on Monday, but McKinstry will give up his spot in the lineup to Trey Sweeney, who draws the start at shortstop.

Nathan Eaton LF | BOS
Red Sox's Nate Eaton: Added to roster
The Red Sox recalled Eaton from Triple-A Worcester on Monday.
Eaton will join the 26-man active roster in place of Rob Refsnyder (oblique), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. The utility player previously went 6-for-24 with three stolen bases over 14 games with the big club earlier this season. The right-handed-hitting Eaton is unlikely to see many starts versus right-handed pitching, but he could have a regular spot in the lineup versus lefties. He'll serve as Boston's designated hitter and leadoff batter in Monday's matchup with Orioles southpaw Trevor Rogers.

Miles Mastrobuoni 3B | SEA
Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Sent back to Triple-A
The Mariners optioned Mastrobuoni to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Mastrobuoni was designated as the Mariners' 27th man for Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Mets in the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa. and did not appear in the contest. He's heading back to Tacoma as the Mariners return to a standard 26-man active roster ahead of Monday's series opener in Philadelphia.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Homers, drives in five
Westburg went 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over Houston.
Westburg led the charge in Baltimore's 12-0 victory with five RBI, including three with his fifth-inning homer. He later knocked RBI singles in the seventh and eighth frames. Westburg has at least three hits in three of his last 18 games, going 26-for-74 (.351) during that span. He's now slashing .277/.327/.475 with 15 home runs and 34 RBI through 72 games.

Red Sox's Nate Eaton: Set to join major-league roster
The Red Sox are expected to recall Eaton from Triple-A Worcester prior to Monday's game against the Orioles, Andrew Parker of Beyond the Monster reports.
Boston won't announce the roster move until Monday, but the Wilyer Abreu (calf) could be a candidate to go on the injured list in a corresponding transaction. Eaton has previously seen action in 14 games with Boston this season, slashing .250/.296/.333 with three stolen bases over 27 plate appearances.

Miles Mastrobuoni 3B | SEA
Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: Serving as 27th man
The Mariners recalled Mastrobuoni from Triple-A Tacoma prior to Sunday's game against the Mets in Williamsport, Pa.
Seattle is designating Mastrobuoni as its 27th man for the 2025 MLB Little League Classic, so he'll most likely head back to Tacoma once the contest in Williamsport is completed. Mastrobuoni isn't in the lineup for Sunday's contest but is capable of serving as an in-game replacement at multiple infield or outfield positions.

Brett Harris 3B | ATH
Athletics' Brett Harris: Claiming third straight start
Harris will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Angels.
After going 2-for-6 with two walks, two runs and an RBI in the first two contests of the series, Harris will remain in the lineup for a third straight game since being called up from Triple-A Las Vegas. So long as he continues to deliver productive at-bats, Harris will likely hold down the fort at third base until Max Muncy (hand) is cleared to return from the injured list.
