Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Moving up to cleanup spot
Chapman will move up to the cleanup spot for the Blue Jays in Friday's game versus the Yankees, Ben Wagner of Sportsnetreports.
Chapman has been in the cleanup spot some against lefties this season but mostly has batted fifth versus righties. He'll flip-flop with Daulton Varsho on Friday, though, with the Yanks throwing righty Domingo German. Chapman is sporting a blistering .397/.461/.750 slash line with five home runs and 17 RBI.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Returned from rehab assignment
The Yankees returned Donaldson (hamstring) from his rehab assignment Thursday.
Though this move ends Donaldson's current rehab assignment, it won't result in him being activated from the injured list. The veteran third baseman suffered a setback in a minor-league contest while trying to work his way back from a right hamstring strain, and he's awaiting the results of a subsequent MRI. It's not yet clear how much additional time Donaldson will miss as a result of the setback.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Begins working out
Farmer, who had surgery to reset four of his bottom teeth and suture lacerations on his lip after getting hit by a pitch, was at Target Field on Thursday getting a workout in, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Farmer did not suffer a fractured jaw or a concussion and did not need his jaw wired shut after getting struck in the face by a Lucas Giolito pitch last week, so he may be able to return sooner than first expected. There's no timetable for his return, but it sounds like he's making progress.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Gets call at second
Peraza is starting at second base and batting sixth for the Yankees in Thursday's game versus the Angels, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Peraza has started against two lefties and been on the bench versus a righty in the three days since his promotion. With Josh Donaldson (hamstring) having a setback, Peraza could stick around longer than originally anticipated. Gleyber Torres will bat cleanup as the designated hitter Thursday.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Supplies offense in Wednesday's win
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Tigers.
His sixth-inning shot off Spencer Turnbull gave the Guardians their only offense on the afternoon, but it proved to be enough. It's Ramirez's second homer of the season, both of which have come in the last five games, but despite the early power outage he's batting a solid ,270 (20-for-74) with four steals, 10 runs and 12 RBI through 19 contests.

Tyler Freeman 3B | COL
Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Hurts shoulder Tuesday
Freeman didn't appear in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Tigers due to an apparent left shoulder injury, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Though neither Freeman nor Amed Rosario (back) have been placed on the injured list, their poor health explains why the Guardians felt compelled to call up top middle-infield prospect Brayan Rocchio from Triple-A Columbus ahead of Wednesday's game. After being recalled ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader to help replace an ailing Rosario at shortstop, Freeman went 2-for-4 at the dish in the Guardians' 4-3 loss in Game 1 but appeared to hurt his shoulder while defending a stolen-base attempt in the fourth inning. After a team off day Thursday, the Guardians will presumably reassess both Rosario and Freeman before determining whether either infielder requires a stint on the IL.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Off rehab, gets MRI
Donaldson said Wednesday that he has been pulled off his rehab assignment at Double-A Somerset and underwent an MRI on his ailing right hamstring following a setback, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Donaldson felt his hamstring tighten up again while playing in his first rehab game with Somerset on Tuesday. The results of the MRI aren't in yet, but he'll have his timeline for a return pushed back at least a few days while his status is in limbo. Even if his setback results in only a brief time away from his rehab assignment, Donaldson could struggle to make it back from the 10-day injured list before the end of April.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sits in series finale
Peterson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
After he was limited to a pinch-hitting role in Monday's 10-1 loss while he tended to a wrist injury, Peterson rejoined the lineup for Tuesday's 4-0 loss and went 0-for-1 with a trio of walks. He'll be back on the bench for the series finale, but the lefty-hitting Peterson's absence likely has more to do with a southpaw (Justin Steele) being on the hill for Chicago rather than any concern about the wrist.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Returns to lineup
Urias (ear) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Nationals, starting at second base and batting fifth, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Urias is making his first start since Saturday after a bruised and sore ear kept him on the bench for the past two games. Adam Frazier will drop out of the lineup to clear room at the keystone for Urias.
