Segura (head) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

As expected, Segura, who departed Saturday's game in the eighth inning when he was inadvertently kicked in the head while manning the field, underwent a test for a concussion Sunday morning. According to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, Segura said he has to take and pass another test later Sunday before gaining clearance from the protocol, so the Mariners should soon have clarity regarding whether or not he has a concussion. If he is diagnosed with a concussion, Segura would then be placed on the 7-day disabled list, with Triple-A Tacoma infielder Zach Vincej prepared to assume Segura's spot on the 25-man roster, per Divish.

Moustakas is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rangers.

With the two teams getting together for a day game in the series finale and Texas bringing a lefty to the hill in Cole Hamels, Royals manager Ned Yost decided it was an opportune time to give the lefty-hitting Moustakas his second off day of the season. Moustakas has been the Royals' top hitter in 2018 but saw his production tail off over the last five games, during which he went 2-for-19 (.105 average).

Duffy is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles.

Duffy has started each of the past seven games, so manager Kevin Cash decided it was an optimal time to rest the infielder in advance of the club's road trip that begins Monday. Duffy's move to the bench will open up third base for Christian Arroyo, who will serve as the Rays' No. 8 hitter in the series finale.

Mariners manager Scott Servais said Saturday after Seattle's 4-3 victory over Minnesota that he expects Segura (head) to enter MLB's concussion protocol, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Segura departed in the bottom of the eighth inning after he was inadvertently kicked in the head in the field while completing a double-play relay throw to first base. The shortstop was enjoying a productive night prior to departing with three hits and his fourth home run of the season, but it sounds like he could miss at least a couple of days due to the head injury. Segura is slated to undergo concussion tests Sunday, so expect the Mariners to provide an official ruling on his diagnosis shortly before the series finale begins at 4:10 p.m. EDT.

Segura left Saturday's game against the Twins after taking a foot to the helmet during a slide into second base in the bottom of the eighth inning, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Considering it was a 3-3 tie at the time of the injury, it certainly seems like Segura may need to go into the concussion protocol, as he likely would not have left at that stage in the game due to a contusion or something else minor. He was 3-for-4 with a home run prior to exiting. Gordon Beckham came in to play second base and Austin Romine moved over to shortstop. Segura should be considered highly questionable for Sunday's game.

Candelario went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI against the White Sox on Saturday.

Candelario hit both of his home runs off left-hander Hector Santiago, his sixth and seventh of the season. Just one game after returning from the disabled list, Candelario picked up where he left off by flashing surprising power at the plate. He is now slugging .529 on the season, well above his .468 pace in 94 at-bats with the Tigers last season.

Devers is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Braves, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

He will head to the bench with a tough lefty in Sean Newcomb due to start for Atlanta. The 21-year-old Devers has been slumping of late and is batting just .213/.245/.404 against left-handed pitching this season. We could see Devers sit more against southpaws -- or perhaps platoon outright with Eduardo Nunez -- now that Dustin Pedroia's back on the active roster.

Duffy went 2-for-4 in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Orioles.

The Rays only scraped together seven hits on the night, but Duffy didn't seem to have any difficulties, putting together his third multi-hit performance in the last five games. The 27-year-old now sports a .322/.364/.420 slash line on the season, but his counting stats have left a lot to be desired as he has two homers, two steals, 15 RBI and 10 runs in 36 games. Duffy will need to stay off the disabled list, and work his way up into a better spot in the Rays' batting order, if he's going to turn those hits into meaningful production.

Candelario (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list Friday.

Candelario will return to action after being placed on the disabled list May 14 with a wrist issue. The 24-year-old third baseman has put together a .272/.359/.497 slash line with five homers and 16 RBI over 37 games this season for Detroit. Mikie Mahtook was sent down to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

Duffy went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Red Sox on Thursday.

Duffy closed out the scoring on the night with a fourth-inning single that extended the Rays' lead to a commanding 6-0 at the time. The 27-year-old has yet to contribute much from a power perspective, but he's hitting safely and getting on base at a career-best clip. Factoring in Thursday's production, Duffy's May average is up to a blistering .328, and he's now racked up eight multi-hit efforts during the month.
