Schmitt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Schmitt will take a seat for the second Sunday in a row, breaking a streak of four consecutive starts. Brett Wisely will check in at second base in place of Schmitt.

Vientos is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Vientos went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's win over San Francisco to extend his hit streak to six games, but he's not in the starting nine for Sunday's series finale. Starling Marte will bat sixth as the designated hitter against Giants lefty Matt Gage, who is serving as an opener ahead of righty Carson Seymour.

The Nationals recalled Tena from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

The 24-year-old is filling the roster spot vacated by Amed Rosario, who was traded to the Yankees on Saturday. Tena has a .690 OPS over 154 plate appearances in the big leagues this season and should serve as a utility infielder while up in the majors.

House is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

House will hit the bench for the first time in a week and for just the second time in the Nationals' last 12 games. Paul DeJong will fill in at third base in place of House, who has generated a .288/.294/.424 slash line with two home runs, one stolen base, eight RBI and 10 runs in 17 games dating back to the start of July.

Vientos went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI double in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Giants.

Vientos made his lone hit count Saturday, delivering a two-run double in the sixth inning that provided all the offense the Mets needed in their 2-1 win. It's been a rocky follow-up to his breakout 2024 campaign, but the third baseman is currently riding a six-game hitting streak and has doubled in back-to-back games. This season, he's slashing .226/.280/.358 with 20 extra-base hits and 27 RBI over 74 games. By comparison, through his first 74 regular-season games last year, Vientos had a .275/.333/.557 line with 36 extra-base hits (17 doubles, 19 homers) and 48 RBI.

Tena is expected to be called up from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Tena began the season on the big-league roster but was sent down to Rochester on June 15. In 44 games earlier this season with Washington, he slashed .248/.325/.365 with no homers, 13 RBI and two stolen bases. Tena played mostly at third base while in the majors but also logged action at second base in two games. He figures to give the Nationals some versatility in the infield after Amed Rosario was traded to the Yankees on Saturday.

Shaw went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Shaw's two-run homer in the seventh inning extended the Cubs' lead to three, and he brought home another run after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the eighth. Shaw has come out of the All-Star break with an eight-game hit streak, going 11-for-23 (.478) with four home runs, nine RBI and two steals over that span.

The Rockies selected Bernabel's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

The move was anticipated after Colorado traded long-time third baseman Ryan McMahon to the Yankees on Friday. Bernabel has put together a strong season with Albuquerque, slashing .301/.356/.450 with eight home runs, 45 RBI and five stolen bases over 75 games. He logged significant time at both third base and first base in the minors, but Bernabel will likely spend most of his time at the hot corner with the Rockies after McMahon's departure and could be given the opportunity to start on a frequent basis. Neither his power nor his speed are above average, so he'll likely need to hit for a high average to be an appealing fantasy asset.

Brujan went 3-for-4 in Friday's 12-5 loss to the White Sox.

Brujan set a new season high in hits, surpassing the two hits he compiled against this same White Sox club back on May 18. The 27-year-old, who started at third base Friday, isn't seeing a ton of playing time, and his role might be reduced further if the Cubs acquire a reinforcement for the hot corner before the trade deadline.

Vientos isn't in the starting lineup Friday versus San Francisco.

Vientos isn't starting for the first time in the campaign's second half. Since the All-Star break, he's logged starts at DH, third base and first base and has batted .238 over six games. With Vientos out of the lineup, Jeff McNeil is starting at designated hitter, while Ronny Mauricio is getting the nod at the hot corner.
