  • Brewers' Andruw Monasterio: Sitting Tuesday

Monasterio isn't in the Brewers' lineup Tuesday versus Pittsburgh.

Monasterio has struggled since taking over for Joey Ortiz (neck) as Milwaukee's primary third baseman, going just 2-for-15 at the plate in his last four games. He'll give way to Vinny Capra on Tuesday, who will bat ninth while manning the hot corner.

  • Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Logs multi-hit game

Candelario went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 6-0 win over the Rockies.

Candelario, who has a modest five-game hit streak (6-for-21), logged his first multi-hit effort in 12 games. He entered Monday batting .156 (7-for-45) over the previous 11 contests.

  • Edwin Rios 3B | CIN

Reds' Edwin Rios: Makes first start

Rios started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Monday's 6-0 win over Colorado.

Rios made his first start for the Reds since his contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville. The team is dealing with several absences that have cropped up recently, which required a dip into the minors. Rios was initially brought up when the Reds added Jake Fraley to the family medical emergency list, and the team subsequently placed Nick Martini (thumb) and Stuart Fairchild (back) on the 10-day injured list over the weekend. Once Austin Slater, who was recently acquired from the Giants, joins the team Tuesday, Rios could return to Louisville.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Sitting out Monday

Hayes is out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Mets.

Hayes appears to be getting a routine maintenance day after he started in each of the previous six games. Jared Triolo will fill in for Hayes at third base.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Paces offense with five RBI

Suarez went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Padres.

Suarez had his most productive day at the plate this season. He broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh with a two-run blast off Dylan Cease and then later tallied a bases-clearing double in the ninth. He had one more RBI on Sunday than his previous 20 starts combined. It was just his second game of the year with three hits and also his second with at least three runs driven in. Suarez is now slashing just .210/.298/.339 with seven homers, 39 RBI, 32 runs and a 32:99 BB:K in 339 plate appearances.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

Marlins' Jake Burger: Delivers walk-off home run

Burger went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Burger was 0-for-4 with a pair of punchouts before he belted a three-run shot to win the game in the ninth inning. He's gone deep three times in his last 10 games after halting his 11-game drought. On the year, Burger owns a disappointing .216/.256/.356 slash line with nine home runs and 31 RBI through 68 games.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Drives in two in win

Arenado went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Arenado continued his hot stretch at the plate with his third consecutive game of two or more hits. It's the second time this season he's put together a streak of three straight multi-hit efforts, each of which has come over his last 22 appearances. He also picked up an RBI in consecutive games after a stretch during which he had only two RBI in his last 14 games. The veteran's slash line sits at a solid .270/.322/.379 but a lack of homers -- seven so far -- has stunted his fantasy value.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Swipes eighth bag

Hayes went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Mets.

Hayes reached base in three of his four at-bats Sunday, as he also reached on an error in addition to a pair of singles. Hayes now has a multi-hit game in four of his last eight contests, with three steals in that span. The power numbers continue to plague Hayes though, as he's slugging a poor .299 for the season. The 27-year-old has 11 extra-base hits through 270 plate appearances this season and will need to pick those numbers up in order to have a larger fantasy impact.

  • Marlins' Emmanuel Rivera: Back on bench Sunday

Rivera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Heading into the weekend, Rivera had started at third base in each of the last four games, but he'll move to the bench for the second time during the Marlins' three-game series with the White Sox. Rivera should have a regular spot in the lineup against left-handed pitching, but he might be viewed as more of a part-time option against right-handed pitching while he's thus far provided a weak .214/.296/.257 slash line over 160 plate appearances in the big leagues this season.

  • Trey Lipscomb 3B | WAS

Nationals' Trey Lipscomb: Could get regular run at third base

Lipscomb will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Called up from Triple-A Rochester on Saturday, Lipscomb will make his second straight start at third base after going 1-for-5 with a run scored in the Nationals' 14-6 win in the second game of the series with St. Louis. With Washington designating Nick Senzel for assignment Saturday, Lipscomb should have a fairly clear path to a regular role at the hot corner, if his performance warrants him sticking around as an everyday player. Over four stints in the majors this season, Lipscomb enters Sunday's game with a collective .236/.307/.268 slash line to go with one home run and 10 stolen bases across 137 plate appearances.
